I have taken the burden of dispelling the rampant gossip present now.
A Letter of Ebola to the
PUREZCESIANS
Greetings be to you, my brothers. Recently, your denomination has fallen victim to the heretical teachings of the "Third Party." Let you not be swayed by their temptations. Yea, verily, Solid Snake will appear in the next Brawl of the Super Brothers of Smash, but make false assumptions not. For truly, I say to you, Solid Snake's beginnings are steeped in a Melee, long ago. The great creator of Metal Gear graciously asked Shigeru Miyamoto (may he be preserved) for Snake to appear in Melee, but alas, the great fight was too far into development. As a compensation, Miyamoto (may he be preserved) promised that Snake would appear in the next great tournament. Amen.
I don't recall the source, but anyone with adequate Google skills should be able to find the same information. Regarding Snake's moveset, I imagine he'll be a more graceful Captain Falcon (NOT a clone, God not a clone). I mean in the way that he fights... mainly straight "Fist to Face" style with a few neat tricks. For Captain Falcon, it was the "Falcon Punch/Kick/Dive". For Snake, it will be WEAPOWNZERZ. Nintendo has said that real guns won't appear, but explosives are entirely acceptable (Snake was already seen with some sort of explosives cannon, see second trailer) and I'm guessing that's what his B-moves will encompass.
