How the heck are you that far already o-o?

Patience, diligence, and a good amount of free time. ^_^

I'm actually all for the eight gym leader system. I think it's a great way to remind the player of the progress they've made, and presents a "boss" at the end of every leg of the journey.

However, I think it should still be a bit more open ended. Make the gym leaders less reliant on the plot. Put them out of order. Maybe throw the lv.30's gym in the third town. Maybe throw one of the gyms outside the town and rather on top of a mountain or something.

I guess rather than having them feel like just another stone on the pathway, make it feel like a challenge to face them. Add some actual build up, tension, and journey to the quest. Make it feel like a personal struggle, rather than a directed stroll over to fight two weak trainers for some convoluted reason.

Hmmm... I like it. Good sir, would you like a job with Nintendo? icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry, totally jking. Yeah, I know, I might've just broken you. Sorry. :/
But anyways, you're totally right. Getting to a gym should be a little bit more difficult, and getting through the gym should be challenging, at least puzzle-wise.

I still have yet to try this game, I like the Pokemon games but have not played it since I beat Heart Gold when it came out (I had to after playing gold as a younger boy).

I beat the 5th gym.

I think we should all agree that "sturdy" is cheap. It's basically infinite Focus Band. icon_frown.gif

Focus Sash. It lets them hang on from a lethal hit as long as they have full health before the hit.

Fifth Badge acquired...and possibly the hardest battle I've had so far. Excadrill is a frickin' BEAST.

Also finding some nice rare Pokemon in the grass (when it shakes) on Route 6. Unfezant, Audino, and Leavanny are ones I've seen and caught there. They're good for EXP too (especially Audino).

What city is where you can trade a Heart Scale to let a Pokemon remember a move? When my Dewott evolves to Samurott, I want him to learn Megahorn.

Really? I thought that fight was pretty easy. But then again, i was kinda cheap about it. I sort of stalled it to death with Leech Seed and Mega Drain xD

Im up to the electric GYM. Just saved outside.

A question about my team, currently it has:
Drillbur (ground)
Forgotsitsname (fire)
Forgotsitsnameagain (water)
Sawk (fightin)

Im going to add the legend from black (fire dragon) (why can i not remember names right now)

For the sixth member, should i use
Vannilla icecream thingie (ice)
Or
Deerling (grass/normal)

I cant decide which one would be most useful.

That person is in Mistralton City, right after Chargestone Cave. You can find her and the Move Deleter in the house to the right of the Pokemon Center.

Anyways, just finished the sixth Gym! It's too bad Skyla's so easy to beat with the right Pokemon...I really like her. icon_thumbsup.gif

Just want to throw in a quick 2 cents here. The bridge to Catellia City is somewhat annoying. Nice eye candy, but it takes way too long to cross, and serves as nothing but eye candy. And at twilight, you can hardly even seen anything. Just a quick little complaint.

Where do I get EXP Share? I just caught that rare electric eel Pokemon at the Chargestone Cave. He's pretty hard to train. I also want to know where I could get a Thunderstone.

The EXP. Share is back in Castelia City. There's a building to the left of the Pokemon Center where you can go inside, battle a bunch of Trainers, and then once you beat the Chairman there, he'll give the EXP. Share.

As for a Thunderstone, I haven't found one myself yet. In fact, besides a Dusk Stone, it's the only other one I haven't gotten.

Scratch that, found a Dusk Stone in the Mistralton Cavern, which you can get to after you're able to Surf.

Another edit, and one very much worth mentioning. You can find one of Unova's legendary trio, Cobalion, in Mistralton Cavern at Level 42. I went there and attempted a capture...I tossed an Ultra Ball...one shake...*CLICK!*

Yes, I captured Cobalion with a Critical Capture! HUZZAH!
