I do remember passing the contents of a spilled dinner plasticware container on the grass by a sidewalk. Friend passes by, sees it, comments "Oh, someone spilled their dinner meat." And I'm thinking "At least no animals were hurt," and thoughtfully comment "At least it wasn't animal meat."
When we realized what I'd said, we doubled over in laughter. Good to write this stuff down.

There were times when we got like 5 new topics a day in GD and you if you weren't online for a day you missed out on things. A few weeks ago I went on holiday for a week and when I came back, ONE new GD topic in a whole week! The debate room and mature forum have ground to even more of a halt - and on a related note, it's been a whole month since the last post in TOPLITE.
Where has everybody gone?

On an unrelated note, I just made a joke:
What's the best kind of grass? Emo grass.

Is it just me or has activity on PureZC slowed down dramatically?

Gone fishing, perhaps? But hey, you are here to at least contribute to one of those things, right? Activity starts with each individual person who is willing and able. As for the Debate Room, most of the conservatives have run off because they feel outnumbered and out of place, I think. A more level playing field would bring something to that place, but only if they are around, willing, and not too sensitive. However, there is a lot to debate about that has nothing to do with politics and religion and stuff like that, even though those are typically some of the first things people think of. As for Mature Discussion, that is Radien's baby, as he has driven much of it, but due to his sudden injury, it has been dead too. If only a forum didn't rely on the presence of one or two people, then it would be less likely to have such dry spells.
Other than that, there isn't too much rhyme to the reasons. People are in school most of the year, so that shouldn't change much, unless a lot of people are studying for exams at a particular time. Either way, we are still the most active ZC community, as far as I am aware. Although I think the ZC communities as a whole have been in a decline.

Why aren't I studying you ask?
I guarantee I'll pass them, or your money back. Limited time offer. Void where prohibited, not available outside the continental US.

Nah, I'm just kidding. I always find that there's those moments of inactivity. I think we'll be back on track soon enough. Just give it a little time.
EDIT: Poop, Eurysilas, you beat me to it.

Quest Update
My theory is that if updates were less frequent, maybe, every fortnight, it would seem like more quests are being released which would then increase activity, in CQD at least. It would create the illusion of quest activity which would create forum activity.
EDIT:BTW, I'm not trying to imply that not a lot of effort went into those Quest Remakes; just that original quests create more forum activity than remakes.

The suggestive smiley was merely a manifestation of the immense urge I often get to "play the jackass".

Anyway, I agree, 2.5 has been slowly killing ZC but it doesn't have any part in this sudden burst of inactvity.

Nathaniel's right about each one of us contributing. I have an idea of something I could contribute to PureZC (other than by posting here) but in the meantime I can try and post a bit more. I think I'll bump something in the debate room too later today, but right now I hear there's lasagne waiting for lunch.

That's the "it'll get better answer." I think a better answer would be related to Banjo's quest hypothesis. I don't really think that many quests aren't being released. It's just that most people aren't releasing 2.10 or lower quests. I mean, look at it. Freedom just released SwanSong: Genesis a few weeks ago. It's a great quest, just that it couldn't be added to the database because 2.5 quests aren't accepted., so fewer people are seeing it. Honestly, I'd bet that if 2.5 quests were accepted to the database, activity would pick back up. I'm sure that many people who don't even have a Pure account just periodically scan the database for new quests. Hell, that's what I did before I joined. So if there is an influx of 2.5 quests in the database, it could compel more people to join to create more help threads, and hopefully pull them into ZQuest development and the Pure community as a whole. That's what I'd say would be the first step in more activity.
Also, can we debate about anything in the debate forum? Like, which color jellybean is the best? (Orange, by the way.) I mean, I'd join if topics didn't have to be deep philosophical heated arguments.
