A little better, but look at this:

Click

Houses aren't just flat. they have textures. Brick, stone, wood, etc. Houses arn't just flat.

But look at the style he is using. I personally think it's too complicated for the Classic tileset even. Style clashes.

Jared, i see what you mean, but even for me, classic has its limits. If i tried to make more detailed walls, it would look really awkward and quite wrong. And thank you!

This screen looks good to me. It fits the desert style. If this is a town/oasis town then you should add people who are standing there. A town shouldn't look so empty. I don't know much about style clashing, but in my opinion the houses don't style clash. I like this white colour.

This room is great! I like the colours. But maybe there are too much borders? You could remove the borders around the eye statue, in my opinion. I hope you won't border every block in the dungeon. And did you draw the leaves at the wall yourself?

Thanks! And also regarding the vines, no, I ripped the vines from the Four Swords Adventure game here you go if you want them!:

Before they fit perfectly you have to:
  • Recolour them.
  • Shift the two vine tiles downwards via the tile editor to fit in with the dungeon walls.)

That is great MK!! I love it, for real. The only thing is that Link is too small and I dont really think those black parts of the wall blend in. They look quite wierd in their current position, but they would look nice as pits )

May I suggest using a layer to add a transparent shaft of light to the entrance?

It's very nice. It reminds me of stuff I make. Personally I think the borders are not needed around the eye statue. It would show more detail of the blue floor that way. I really like the color combo of the walls and floors. You're probably one of very few who uses two different colors for the walls and floor. icon_razz.gif Well done. icon_thumbsup.gif

Thanks Dawnlight! I based the colour scheme around A Link to the Past's Eastern Palace.
Also basing the tile selection and basic design on that too.
