Man, when I first heard this on IGN, I was like finally! A remake, what I have been hoping for. New graphics, to me is a funner game. I have played the game and collected everything there possibly was on OOT and really it took a long time, would I do it again? HELL YEAH! Bring on OOT 3DS!

Laser-guided hookshots might just be the best thing ever! Holy s***, like seriously. How come they've never done that before? Next, they should add in homing arrows. Oh, and a boomerang that explodes on impact. Maybe even a laser sword.

I'd say something like "kidding aside," but I was actually being serious. A hookshot with a laser sight just seems so incredibly awesome to me. More so than it should. Like, makes-the-game-completely-worth-it awesome.

Jeez Evan, calm down. A small dot would be hard to see on a3DS screen versus a TV screen, where you can see it big.
Plus, it makes more sense. The Hookshot is a piece of technology!

Well, not really. They could make the dot slightly bigger. Although I can see what you mean.

Yeah. Ancient technology. They didn't have lasers. icon_razz.gif

Yeah, I'm definitely enjoying the updates so far. And, the hookshot's needed a laser since day one! It should especially be nice since it's 3D, and we'll actually know where the laser ends instead of just shooting the hook off and listen for a "clank" to see if we're close enough! XD

I was sorta disappointed when they announced this game.

Let me explain before you go into fan rage.

OoT may be one of the better entries in the series, but it's also one I have played down to death. Not to mention, when they make a remake, (yes this is a remake and not a port, look the therms up if it confuses you.) they waste a great opportunity of making a new game. Even if it is a less enjoyable game, I'd enjoy it more then playing a game I have already beaten. Even more so, if they are making a remake they could have gone as far and make it a re imagination with newer concepts. (Zero mission vs Metroid would be an example of that.) With new bigger dungeons with new puzzles while still going for the same theme and general layout of the world. (Face it, the overworld in OoT was rather plain.)

I was hoping the extra content they added into this game would be something that would win me over, but to be honest, what they have shown so far have not really been that impressive. From what I can tell the MQ version is not the same as the one for OoT, although, it's hard to tell from the video when you're not super experienced with MQ. Which is a shame if it's not, since it had new puzzles for every dungeon. (Though the cow in the walls part was just: D: )

I'll see if they add any other new content that is good enough to swing me over, but from the looks of it so far, it's not something that is worth the cash for me.

Nononono, I was being completely serious. A laser-guided hookshot is awesome! I know it sounded like sarcasm, but it wasn't. icon_razz.gif

Yes!! I just got a 3DS! Now I just have to wait impatiently for this to come out. I don't think it is the must-get 3DS game, but I still plan to buy it for my new system. I've never played MQ, boss mode sounds fun (even if it's not that big), and the new graphics look cool.

As for the laser-guided hookshot... okay, it's a nice addition. It's not really that significant.

Meh, it's still not enough to justify a $40 purchase. icon_razz.gif

I figure the only way I'm getting this is when it does a bundle deal with the 3DS. Which I can guarantee will happen, or you can have one of my kidneys (actually I need those for when I find a black market). I might already be playing it on my N64 at this very moment (just giving the Wii a backseat right now), but I think Master Quest is justifying the idea of getting it. And if there is that bundle deal, I won't mind getting it for free, basically.

The only reason I really b**** about OoT is because there's so many people who claim it's like the cure to cancer. Thing is though, even though OoT revolutionized so much that it might as well have cured cancer, it's like saying that's enough and that AIDS doesn't need to be cured (AIDS representing the overworld, difficulty level, etc.) One thing that might make me happy is if day and night are both longer. Each don't need to be 30 seconds long (even if that's all the time it takes to traverse the overworld anyway icon_deformed.gif)

I stumbles across this picture earlier.

It seems they changed the Stone of Agony into, "The Shard of Agony". They probably couldn't make the 3DS rumble so they made something different. I mean, when you play OoT on an emulator or on the virtual console, it's pretty much useless.

:O

I have never heard of that, or the Stone of Agony... did I miss a vital part of OoT or something?

You get the Stone of Agony for getting 20 Skulltula Tokens, dude. I'm guessing the 3DS will give off a sound when you're over a secret, at any rate.

Umm...I guess so. You get the Stone of Agony from getting 20 or so Golden Skulltula's.
I guess you're not much of a side quest guy icon_razz.gif

I guess I just didn't play OoT as much as I could have then. icon_razz.gif
