No, it totally was. I appreciate everything you are doing to perfect this quest, know you are busy, and if my post came across as demanding or "where's the next release!" that was not my intention at all and I apologize.

I have always been fascinated by this game but I've never made it terribly far what with bugs and whatnot. I'm very into playing bigger and harder quests compared to the past. I haven't downloaded RC3 because I was trying to wait for a final release, but I just might give it a go and I'll get myself a photobucket account and post any bugs I find once I eventually start playing.

Actually, I apologize for having presented an opportunity to be taken offensively. icon_unsettled.gif I'm just so concerned, alarmed, and most of all, outright surprised that peoples' save files have been corrupted by my work on this quest, and I can't find a single rational cause for it. I've done nothing different, short of introducing combo aliases and a new palette and a new midi. I didn't think anything like that could cause a corruption of an entire save file format, unless people were playing the quest in the wrong version. I didn't even think that was possible.

The quest fascinates me as well; Sabotage Dragoon even more-so, by far. RC3 is definitely worth it. There are considerably fewer bugs than in past revisions, and the two horrific bugs that plagued us in the past, the raft bug and the ladder and flippers bug, are gone in RC3.

It's definitely worth playing now. icon_thumbsup.gif

2.10 is probably the closest anyone has these days. 1.92 Build 183 is likely the most accurate one. Technically it was 187 I think.

I believe I might know the cause, You see back when NewJourneysFire brought "Souls Of wisdom", When I was playing it I reported many bugs. and after awhile of playing it and NewJourneysFire kept updating the quest file. for some odd reason my save file was corrupted. From what I gather is that is changing the quest file out with another would not corrupt it but after so many times of changing the file out the save file will just get messed up... I don't know why but I've had this happen so many times on me its crazy.

And heck I've done it too. my brother beta test some of my stuff and if I fix some of the bugs and he keeps replacing the file with the bug fixed one. there's a chance that the save file might be corrupted. So I don't know if help clears anything up, But I thought I might just tell you what I think caused the so many case's of save file corruption.

And sorry about going off topic here I just wanted to say that.

No that's actually incredibly useful. Thanks very much. icon_smile.gif Kind of scary to think about. I think I'll add a warning in big red letters about that.

Well... I got to mirage, but after doing everything I can think of, I still lack 1 normal key, I already have the boss key, and I need to open the locked door on the 3rd floor. I got the hidden key in below the catwalk south west of the map, I also got the meat (gem). I got a key after killing some leevers below the catwalks (the room with spikes in the middle and conveyor belts. So... any idea where the last key might be?

In B-1, there is a room with a 4x4 array of conveyors in the middle of the room in a square formation, and four blocks, one to each corner, also in the room. Push the upper right block after both Lanmolas are dead. There's a key in there.

There's another key in the extreme lower right corner of the entire map, in the room with the wallmasters, south of a room with 3 leevers and 1 stalfos I believe.

Yeah, there are only three normal keys on that entire map.

Thank you, I got the key and beat the (brutal) boss... but now that I got to the sewers I don't know how to proceed, I got the 2 chests, but I'm blocked everywhere by blocks... do I need the super bomb or is it just a bonus? I don't see anything to bomb at all =S

Tony,
You're too early in the quest , i.e. not powerful enough, to try the sewers...you won't need what you get there for quite a while.

Gotta go get the Dream Whistle. Go to the swamp south-west of the Lake area. A Prospector will tell you the maze path, then go north-west of the lake area to reach the Lost Hills and find the Dreameater village. They'll give you the whistle that lets you enter peoples' dreams.
