EDIT: If they do have a stage of their own, like in Melee, it may either be the Melee stage or an "Icicle Mountain II", considering that they only had one game, and Melee's stage reflected off of that one game.

Ok, I understand not many people are Ice Climbers fans. I'm not even one, myself, but thinking outside the box, this update leads to the thought of all characters from Melee returning in Brawl. I wonder what Young Link will look like? He can't be TP Young Link, because there wasn't one, unless Nintendo actually makes a Young TP Link character. I'm still thinking that if Young Link returned for Brawl, he would still be OoT Young Link. But then, that messes things up a bit, because then the Links won't be the same Link. Therefore, no Seven Years match in 1P Mode (if Event Matches return, hopefully).
Ice Climbers weren't secret characters in SSBM, so it was very unlikely that they got scrapped anyway. But Young Link is just a secret clone of Link, like Dr. Mario, Pichu, Roy, Ganondorf and Falco. I think clones have the least chance of returning. (But they really need to keep Ganondorf, btu with a different moveset that doesn't copy Captain Falcon D: )

Geez if Mr Game and Watch comes back to Brawl, I wonder how they're going to graphically improve him.
They probably won't. He'll probably end up like Pikachu and Kirby in the first trailer. It's not really like Nintendo will attempt to graphically improve everyone.

I wonder if you now have the option to control Nana (i think) as the leader instead of that purple dude.
They always did. Change the color scheme and some of them have Nana in the lead. That's why FAQs refer to the "lead character" rather than a specific name. The idea is that they're completely identical in function, other than the differences derived from being the lead character between the two.
NOOOO,I WANTED TO ANNOUNCE IT.
On-topic: You gotta love 'em. < 3

Eh, no you don't. But it is fun to see super-chibified characters nonetheless receiving some sort of "realism" upgrade.
... and a bit lame, imo.

Look on the bright side: if they're in the game, that means you get to beat up on them.
That's how I look at characters like Pikachu. The high-pitched scream of a Pokemon being hurtled to its doom is music to my ears.

I'm actually totally rooting for Young Link to be Wind Waker Link. I say so just because it's so dang appropriate. Wind Waker Link targets the younger crowd now, and unlike the OoT days, there is no longer a current Zelda title that features multiple-aged Links.
I didn't like the change to Wind Waker graphics, but Smash Bros. is supposed to be a celebration of what Nintendo is and was, not what it isn't. I can't see them creating a Young TP Link model just for SSBB. I can see them including a character that is a preview for an upcoming game, but if so, it'd still be a first for the series.

Young Link may be a clone character, but I felt the difference was quite great. For instance, Link is a heavy, while Young Link is a light. Not medium. Light. He darts around like crazy.
Link is also a dang popular character. I'm sure Nintendo would consider changing him enough to keep him from being a clone. After all, Wind Waker Link DOES have a different sword style than TP Link.
(Oddly enough, in Wind Waker I like his regular combos more than I do in TP, though, something that basic might not be carried over to the Smash Bros. engine...)
