Hero Mode file 100%'d with no deaths. Posted tons of updates on Miiverse along the way too. :heh:

That's probably the last I'll play of it for a while, at least intensely. Four playthroughs in less than a month? Not bad... >.>

How is a 3 heart run even possible when the pendant of wisdom and power only appear after you collected the heart container, like in a link to the past?

Actually, if you just wait around a moment, it'll appear before you pick up the heart container. Didn't realize that either, but it's nice that they allowed us to skip them if we wanted to.

One minor trend I want to see in future Zeldas is having major boss battles in the overworld. It was certainly well done in one of the dungeons.

Good to know, I just started up my three heart run on normal first just to see how well I can handle not getting hit, before I try on hero mode.

Wasn't that done in Twilight Princess? There was that moblin creature on horseback, and than there was that big insect creature in the lake.

Didn't you also fight outdoor bosses in Skyward Sword as well? I recall The imprisoned, Ghirahim, that thing on the whale's back.

Outdoor bosses really aren't an abnormal thing in Zelda nowadays.

[Major] boss battles, though. I'm talking about dungeon bosses. Not the bosses that are present merely in between dungeons or at the end of the game.

I was about to say that most of Skyward Sword outdoor bosses are pretty major and significant to the storyline. Even the parasite that infects the whale.

But I see here you mean specifically dungeon bosses. So I get what you mean.

But I'm also kind of suggesting that while this is the first dungeon boss to appear outside of a dungeon (actually, wait, wasn't there that one boss in Majora's Mask?)

Either way, I guess I'm saying I'm noticing a trend and I wouldn't be too surprised to see more bosses appearing outside of the dungeon.

I would argue that Twinmold's Arena was a trippy illusion. But maybe it took place in a open wide desert. Also PH and ST did actually have some bosses outside. But with ALBW the arena was on the actual overworld map. Following me here? I apologize if you're confused.

I am following you.

I could say that the area you fight The Imprisoned in seems to be an arena strictly for the bosses that it included (3 fights with the imprisoned and one with Ghirahim). But again, I guess you're still referring to dungeon bosses.

I can't use Twilight Princess as an example here, because the bosses you fight in the outdoor environments feel like they were added to the overworld, rather than have an arena built into the overworld. I can't say the lillipads in Lake Hylia counts, but I also can't say it wasn't a type of battle arena in a way.

I admit guilt to keeping it up just to see what would happen, then when it was over I did feel a little guilty and wish there was a way to calm him down, since there appears to be no way. :(

I stopped at five, hoping to get some kind of reward for not being greedy. But nope.

I never enraged him though. Also the Z1 references never seem to end.

I did that too on the first playthrough as I assumed in some way it'd lead to a sidequest that would give you an HCP in the end, but nope. Instead just more flooding the rupees that you don't really need.

Also, sad fact, my wallet was already nearly maxed when I found him, so it was pointless to get money from him. I would be willing to give him 9999 rupees if that were an option. They still overdid the Rupees quite a bit...
