There will be a Screenshot of the Year, but I'm not sure how Angeal wanted to handle that, so I'll leave it up to him. I went ahead and put Screenshot of the Week though, since it seems he's currently without internet.

Screenshot of the Year's preliminaries will be going up tomorrow. However, we only have one screenshot for Screenshot of the Week 439 and need at least two more in order to start the competition.

Was there ever a Screenshot of the Year 2012? So far as I can tell, winners of SotMs 87–98 never got a chance at ultimate glory.

Sounds good to me. This situation actually happened before... SotY 2010 wasn't actually held until February 2012.I suppose there wasn't. If there's interest, I could put up a poll next week for all those entries for people to vote for the best of 2012 belatedly?

Also I know it's only Friday but two shots are still needed for the next Screenshot of the Week. Thought I'd get this up a little earlier this time instead of waiting until the last second.
EDIT: Interesting, SotM 87 was part of 2011 and wasn't in SotY 2011. I'll include that anyway though, it makes for an even twelve combatants.

Wow, this is a busy week, with Screenshot of the Week 441, Screenshot of the Month 109, and Screenshot of the Year 2012. Anyways, same as the 2013 contest, the winners of each bracket will face each other in the final next week. Be sure to vote!
And blame Scootaloo for the bad bracket names.
