Finally got around to fixing an irritating bug in my menus that made even the slightest tap of the button cause them to freak out.

Admittedly, I haven't actually touched Lineage much recently though. I've got a few other things that are coming up that have been sucking my time away. :S Though I should be getting back into the swing of things this week. icon_smile.gif

Enemy boomerangs are now twice as dangerous as before since they can now hurt you while they return to the npc. This is a feature I've wanted for some time. And I finally managed to pull it off via ZScript. Next step making it so Link's sword beams are short ranged and making his sword shoots fire too. icon_awesome.gif

I opened it for the first time in a good 3-4 months. I have BIG plans this time. BIG plans. And these plans include running ZC from a flash drive, to avoid the embarrassing hard-drive crash again.

In all seriousness, though, if you thought my last quest was looking epic before it took a hard-drive-crash to the <Insert body part that quests have here>, just WAIT until you see what I have planned THIS time!

(Just have to wait a few more weeks until I actually have enough free time to do anything... Bummer, I know icon_cry.gif )

Today, I finally got my custom bomb script to compile. It was surprisingly difficult to get. I also have devisied a way to keep track of multiple scripted LWeapons on the screen to go about on their scripted ways. This should make it easy to a diffision-type attack that fires three shots, that each split into three parts after a set amount of time icon_biggrin.gif.

I finally got a good start on the dagger script I planned from earlier.

Basically, it behaves like a sword without the slash ability, but much smaller and does very little damage (1 damage). Unless you back-stab an enemy, in which case it does 15 damage. (I will probably change this though) It's actually THE first weapon you get. I'm not entirely sure how useful it'll be, so much testing will be needed I imagine. icon_wink.gif

I got the back stab bit almost done, but it does need more tweaking. After that it's making it behave like a normal weapon. icon_razz.gif

EDIT: And now the thing is finally done. Considering it's literally the first item you'll get in the game, it's strange that I'd leave it so late to make it. :S

Finished re-scripting the sword. That's right, I haz a custom sword. Not only that, but it uses the Ex1 button, so you can equip 2 items AND a sword. How's that for efficiency?

So far, the player can choose to stab (faster) or slash(longer reach), as well as use a sword-beam-throwing slash. I am going to add the spin attack, a rolling slash, a sword-throwing-stunning attack, an earthquake-inducing slash, a downward thrust (with the use of Roc's feather), and probably a few more. And when I'm done, I'm gonna be a good guy and put it in the script database.

Anyhow, now that the basic attacks are done, I have to script in all the charge attacks and special attacks, which are the whole reason I decided to reprogram the sword in the first place. Well, that and the extra equipment slot. That too.
