I agree that it's silly to put up a fit because you saw a spoiler of any kind, because if that ruins the whole game for you, then I guess it sucks to be you. icon_shrug.gif However, it's not like I want to know what every single item in the game is yet, either. There's certain things that people like to keep as surprises that I think should count as spoilers.

Well, I think I was misunderstood; it's not that I think the shape of the Master Sword is a spoiler, it was just really really neat and I like to keep little surprises like that, well, a surprise for myself. I don't consider it a game breaker or ruiner or whatever. It's just, in Zelda, I like seeing these little surprises because the series, to me, is an epic. But whatever, too late now. icon_razz.gif

6800 yen? That roughly translates to $60. I sure hope the game is $50 and not $60... I already have to pay an extra $10-20 for a Wii Motion Plus...

I guess I am a little confused by what you are trying to get at with your post. The Special Bundle that has the Game, CD, and Wiimote Motion Plus, is $69.99, and the plain release with just the Game, and CD is the normal $49.99 I do believe.

I think that trailer has too many spoilers, like cutscene wise. I think you should put it in spoiler tags.

This has been kinda bothering me.... If the Skyward Sword is just a transition between between the Goddess Sword and Master Sword, why isn't the game named 'Goddess Sword' or 'Master Sword' instead of one of the two transitions?

Not only does Skyward Sword roll off the tongue better as a title, but I think it's referring to the fact that you hold the sword itself skyward to charge it with energy. Also, assuming you get the sword while you're still at Skyloft, it could just be to describe it with its origin.

It definitely sounds better, and maybe the title describes the origin, but it still doesn't really make sense to have an upgrade with the same name as the title of the game.

You don't have to hit play icon_razz.gif

Anyway, I played the game again at GameX. I'm liking the sword-controls less and less each time I play it, but I do think that's because I'm not used to it yet. You can't simply use your wrist to flick the mote, you have to actually bring your arm back to whatever position, depending on how you wanna strike, and then slash the sword in the direction you want it to go. It's not bad, it's just very odd at first after having played Twilight Princess on the Wii. I'm sure I'll get used to it though, and I'm also sure that when I do, it'll work really nicely!

So it feels like real sword fighting then?

I don't see the problem. The name sounds good, it relates to the sword's and hero's orgin, it relates to a key mechanic of the game... it embraces that whole concept of a world above Hyrule. That's far more approriate by my book than "Master Sword" or "Godess Sword" as these only describe the key item of the game and do not go beyond that.

Spoilerific review? I'll pass. ... oh wait, it's an IGN review? Double-pass. Sorry. IGN lost all credibility with me a while back. Glad they like it (I'm assuming), but I'll stick to GameTrailers or GamesRadar for my reviews; they just resonate better with me and my thoughts.
