Anywho, getting my copy of White in a few hours, and here's how I'll go:

Trainer Name: Hitomi (named after one of my art OC's and the fact the trainer has blue eyes. The name "Hitomi" means "blue eyes".)

Gender: Female (so what if I'm male in RL?)

Speaking of soft-resetting to get legit shinies or whatever, if anyone is going to want to get a legit shiny Reshiram or Zekrom, you're gonna have your work cut out for you.

Basically, when you get to the point where your cover Legendary is encountered, you MUST capture it to proceed in the story. HOWEVER, at this point, that legendary will not appear as a shiny, no matter what. If you do want a legit shiny version, then your team and ALL your Pokemon storage boxes must be full at that point. If so, then the game will proceed without you having to capture the Legendary. To get another chance at catching it after this (as well as it being able to appear in it's shiny form), you must return to the top of Dragonspiral Tower, where it will be waiting at Level 50. At this point, you can soft-reset as much as you need to in order for it's shiny variant to appear. So simply put, before you decide to beat the Elite Four, you're going to have to capture a whole bunch of "filler" Pokemon to fill up all of your storage boxes. Have fun with that.

Got a call from a friend of mine, who also happens to be the editorial manager of gaming magazine "GameReactor". He wants me to review Black, so he sent me a copy. Probably getting it tomorrow.

I wasn't going to buy this game until the summer vacation, as I usually play lots of Pokemon over the summer (but only then, usually, for no reason), but now I'm pretty much going to have to play it. I don't mind, it's all going to be fun anyway, plus, free game.

Now, I'm going to have to test out some of the online features (especially the new ones), and seeing as almost no one plays Pokemon over here, that I know of anyway, I need someone to test out the online features with me. If I can't test them out, I can't give the game a proper review, which again means no pay. So if anyone wanna help me out with this, shoot me a PM. I'll mention your name in the review, though I can't promise my editor won't clip it out. It's not usually something we do, "shoutouts", that is, so there's a chance it'll be removed, but yeah... besides, the review would be in Norwegian anyway, so it's not like it's that big of a deal anyway xD

I got it on Thursday. (Came out 4th but I got it early because I pre-ordered.) My team is Tepig and Pansage, both Lv. 13. I currently have six Pokemon in my Pokedex but I've seen an extra 3. (In other words, I've caught 6 but seen 9.) I have beat the First Gym but unfortunately, I have to trade in my DSi before March 10th so I can get £75 off the 3DS, when it comes out. So that's as far as I'll get for another 3 weeks.

The thing I hate about Pokemon is that if you can't get it right away, you're pretty much out of the loop, I usually get it by the time no one cares about it anymore. So, that's what's probably going to be what's occurring when I finally pick up Black.

I decided not to get it. I don't doubt that some people might deem it a solid play, but I'm just not as interested as I've been with the past generations. I have a friend that purchased it today, though, and he seems to be loving it.

I just got White. First off, right off the bat, I must say, Gamefreak went all out in terms of presentation. The game itself looks lovely. I enjoy the nice graphics. The battles improved as well. One thing I didn't like about the battles in the previous generations is that the pacing is very slow. More specifically when reducing/recovering HP. I like now that battles are quicker. I chose Oshawott as a starter. Good thing he didn't have any natures that reduces its key strengths. I betcha everyone who bought the game has Lilllipup in their party.

I do have a Lillipup, but that was just to win the contest, mostly... Lillipup's final form is actually a bit ugly, if I say so myself... But, the first form, is pretty awesome. Like awesome.

Yep, I have one too. Why is the beginning like just STRAIGHT grinding? I don't have a problem with it, considering I love grinding on RPGs to enter PWN mode, but because of the new EXP system, it makes it a tad time-consuming.

I got White. So far, it's pretty good. Not the best, but they really went all out in the presentation. The "YOU'RE GONNA DIE" music is an awesome idea, and the "Gym leader's final stand" music is awesome. Story seems like it has lots of potential, but it's still kinda kidified a bit too much. As for my team so far.

Some of the new Pokemon are actually pretty cool (Dewott in particular is so freakin' awesome I am never letting him evolve). Others... yeah, they suck (I'm looking at you, Woobat).

I believe each month corresponds to a certain season, so all of use are in autumn until March is over. Day or night just depends on what time your DS clock is set to.
