Just something I threw together for my Pokemon Abridged Series
Reduced the image to a link as it was 1000x1000, please try to keep all images under 600x600. ~Plissken
Also, this isn't really the typical submission here, but I thought "why not..."
This is obviously not a Zelda Classic screenshot, and yes, I did use Photoshop here and there. I tried making some new forest overhangs using PS, but I'm not totally happy with the results. You may also notice the leaf shadows strewn about... it's a bit "bleh", but I thought it looked sort of cool when I made it. Anyways, so yeah, about all the graphics apart from the grass itself is 100% custom, by me, Linkus and Sheik (with the exception of the fairy).
I also do want to add a "glow" to the fairy's sparkletrail... I don't know why I didn't do that right away, but bleh, here it is anyway:

So yeah, as a screen, it's really nothing that special, yet I just like the overall look of the things. I suppose this is more of a "what if"-I had a more advanced engine to work with, kind of image... or whatever.
EDIT:
Okay, so I added a quick shadow under Link (it sucks, I know), along with a glowy sparkly fairydust trail

Now I want to add some kind of HUD or something, as it'd be really cool to have a "fake gameplay" shot... for no reason what-so-ever, other than "fun"
EDIT 2:
Sigh, I work too fast. No HUD added yet though:

Is this better or worse? Suggestions? I'm not sure on the "light" layers yet... I think they could be slightly more transparent, but what's your thoughts?

With the normal parts dark and the light parts fading from lighter to normal?

Looks great, Migo. The light looks strange because link is in what looks like a clearing, though. I'm not good at wording things but perhaps something more like this?

It needs some variation on the darkness. The highlighted bits are a must though.
This reminds me of something from Four Swords Adventure; which if someone could replicate in Zc would probably make me wet myself all over.

The first three made me think he had some medical condition like pink eye permanently present in one of his eyeballs. I can see through his facade, past the faux smile, and into the true pain he's feeling within.
That made me Lol XD. Anyway, we all love to lounge, don't we? So why should Cecil be any different

Obviously, but I was only showing a quick example with the rays of light. There was no reason for me to heavily edit somebody else's work at the time. : )

Either way, that was very epic. Gives me ideas for how I'm going to do the forest light in Ode to Zelda Advance.
