Looks very lovely, I just don't like the water graphics. I'd search for a replacement. You can have my Pokémon water if you want (see screenshot I posted before).

I finished a couple of screens of my quest's Timbersin Village:

Yeah 3 screens out of 23 screens is nothing. The village itself is just a peaceful mountain trail with loads of pile of wood along the
way. Hence Timbersin Village.

Fun Fact: This area is a revision of my first (and horrible (called Journey to the Midnight Castle)) ever quest's Wooden Village.

I've been working on a new version of my Hyrule Field palette, and I just finished it. So, now I need your opinions; which is better, the old one or the new one?

moo2wo - i liked the first one better. The other just seems too dark for me.

Midnight_King - I like it man, i just dont really know about those giant trees.
Also, what happened to the triforce of courage?

They are both good. The first one is a little easier on the eyes (though there's nothing really wrong with the second one in that department, either) while the second one gives away that tMC-vibe.

Looks more like the stream behind my house then a majestic river, just imo.

@Moo2wo: New one looks better. The palette looks really nice!

@Midnight_King: Dude, you've gotten so much better. Your new stuff looks great and I really like the way everything comes together. Very impressive!

I like them, but I'm not sure if they'd fit.

I liked the new one better. The road seems a bit too red, however.

To be totally honest, I don't like the way this screen looks. The ice looks really weird next to all the rounded objects, and so does that long rock. The one rock is different looking from all the others, the screen feels crowded. You could do without the snow piles, they clash with the other tiles and they make the screen really cramped, plus it seems you are using them as a ground detail when they are actually supposed to be a solid tile. Adding some snowy trees and bushes would add some color to the screen without ruining the feel. Basically, clear up most of the ground detail, remove the square ice and rock, and if you want add some green into the screen. Just suggestions, and just my opinion. Its a really good start, and I can see why you designed it the way you did, but I disagree. icon_smile.gif

This new screen uses the DoR burning palette. It's set to cycle exactly like the burning palette in DoRv2.0b. icon_razz.gif

The firbars are scripted and work as they should, both stairs lead to somewhere, and both message blocks on the walls work. The arrows pointing to the stairs are layered with transparency. So it will change colors when the screen cycles.

^ That's quite an improvement. I wonder if you should take away a few of the bones now that you have firebars, just for clarity.

Very nice MK. Nice balance of detail, It could use some other kind of ground texture though. One ground is a bit boring. But it looks fine how it is. And one more note, where are all the houses? It's a village, isn't it? I'm assuming this is just the entrance and that it's not finished yet.
