Wow, that much? I always wear shoes outside and in public buildings, but never inside houses. icon_shrug.gif

I tend to wear only socks inside - that doesn't count as "naked" for me.

Walking barefoot through, say, grass or sand (assuming it's guaranteed not to contain rubbish or broken glass) can be a pleasant experience, though.

Sand, I've done. Absolutely clean sand, yes. Anything you step on will be just as affected by the sand as your feet are, and will sink or move aside when you step on it. Except if it's a jellyfish.

Carpet, no problem. Linoleum or tile, .. eh, .. maybe. Hell, likely, in fact. But grass, no.

I am the same as Russ with the shoes. I never wear them in a house, as I don't like to transfer the dirt from outside into someone's home. I consider it to be rude. I know that in Japan they are especially particular about what footwear you can wear where. That's a funny thing to say.

Dress shoes while working. Socks and slippers at home, but barefoot in the summer. Sandals outside in the summer. My Converse All-Star sneakers away from home any other time of the year.

Nikes or similar FTW, and socks indoors.

So I entered a Shonen Jump Regional Yu-Gi-Oh tournament yesterday in Los Angeles...freakin' AWESOME. 1632 people attending for one purpose - to duel their hearts out. I got 406th place, which isn't that bad considering that I was my first time going to an official tournament of such magnitude. And we broke a world record as being the largest card tournament in history.
YEAH

Anyone else play children's card games? (Kudos if you get the reference)

When I was about seven, I played Yu-gi-oh. When I was five and six, I collected Pokemon cards, but never learned how to play with them. That's about it for me. I actually found that those old cards I used were worth tons of money now (especially the Pokemon cards, which were old ones my cousins gave me). However, my mom thought they were trash and threw them out. I could have made hundreds of dollars. icon_frown.gif

Oh yes...some are godly expensive. Let me point you in this direction. That's an extreme example though...but yeah.

Wha-.
O_O

Holy crap, that's a lot of money for one card.

I used to play a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh as it was the simplest of the ones I knew of to play. I have a pretty big collection in my room right now, including 3 of the 5 Exodia cards and quite a few other rare goodies. I even remember going to the Yu-Gi-Oh movie with my friend (he was more into the whole franchise than I was, frankly, but I went as a means to spend time with him). My brother tagged along as well, but came later. Me and my friend had each gotten 1 of those special cards they were giving out (Patapon or something like that) but when my brother went, the guy infront had complained that they were supposed to get 4 cards (even though the commercial said 1 of 4), and the guy believed him, so he started giving out 4 of them at a time. My brother went and ended up with all 4 cards. Lucky guy. icon_smile.gif

I'll take your Crush Card Virus and raise you a Black Lotus. It's the most valuable card ever produced by Magic: The Gathering and is completely illegal in all but one (very rarely seen) tournament format in which it is restricted to one per deck. Just to give you a benchmark, "valuable" cards are usually around $15 - $25 dollars.

And I'll take your Black Lotus and raise you a Skuna, The Leonine Rakan, worth $100 more last time I checked. Cool looking card BTW.

Why? I only played Yu-Gi-Oh for a short while around when it came out, but it appears that it's abilities aren't anything special at all.

Black Lotus makes sense (along with the other power 9) because they're all ridiculously good cards. Plus Black Lotus sounds really cool.

I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh and my friends recently tried getting me into Magic and still play it at ye ol' local bakery, but...the most I ever do is mess around with the cards to build different decks to look into different potentials and discover strategies. I think the last time I played, it was my elemental fairy deck...managed to survive 2 attacks from a Cyber End Dragon fused with Power Bond... shame that the next card in my deck before I lost from the next attack was cemetery bomb, and me and my friend only had about 3-4 cards in our decks left. Ah, those days...

Now, I need to be up in 2.5 hours for class. Welp...I'm doomed. And that's particularly why I spent my time posting here. Ehhhh...nyeh.

I think it's actually bad when you consider that you can get cards that are almost as good for only one tribute of any type. I think it might have been the fact that it's a promotional card that has only a couple copies anywhere, though of course I could be wrong.

Well, as some of you may or may not know, I've been working on a soundfont for Zelda Classic(mainly my quest) and I think I'm almost done it.

Here is a sample of what I've got done so far. The song I used is Temple of Time by Jimmy Vetayases.(the first song titled "Temple of Time" under the Ocarina of Time section in VGMusic Shortcut)

Song if the mp3 player doesn't work, the download is under a megabyte.

Sounds like Ocarina of Time, doesn't it? I assure you that it IS a midi file. I just need to find a few more sounds and I think I can release it. I got to credit a few people as well.

Also, the reason I didn't post this anywhere else is because I'm not ready to make anything out of it yet icon_wink.gif

If anyone wants to know, though. I'm not really following GM Standards. I'm listening to some of my songs now and every so often one appears that doesn't sound good. Totekeke sounds pretty good in some songs though. My sandopolis song for example.

How is that a midi!? It sounds exactly like OoT! Seriously, how did you get it to sound like the ocarina/voices from OoT?
