Lovin' the NES work you've got there Mr. Pimpy. Especially the ghost sandal... exactly the kind of thing I'd expect to face in an old JRPG. Are those actually NES-compatible, or just in the style?

My honors program had a painting social the other night and I ended up putting out two that I'm proud of.

Cover art to Radiohead's In Rainbows. Definitely one of my favorite albums, and the cover art is surreal enough that it was able to be painted even by someone with as little artistic merit as myself. If you are familiar with the album art, you'll see that it actually has seven rows of text, not six... this is because while college has prepared me for solving second order differential equations, it has not prepared me for basic counting.


The Master Chief, from the Halo series. I'm not gonna lie- I'm terrible at drawing in proportion and directly copied the outline of the head and visor; however, everything else was painted freehand. I'm really happy with how this turned out; I think the colors are good and the shadow effect turned out really nicely.
