Part 23

On the one hand, I'm really happy with what I just got.  On the other hand, I fear that it'll be a requirement later on.

I can't help but wonder how long it will take for those pedestal-things to become relevant.

Oh, things have to go far more seriously to pot before those will play a role in anything.  Don't think too hard.  Focus on your mission.  Ignore the lose ends.  I'm sure nothing bad will happen later.

And what the hell does a lion have to do with futuristic tech?

Well, of the signs of the Zodiac to choose from, which one would you use as the "leader" of the Zodiac, hmm?  Lion = King made the most sense to me.  I mean, I ended up breaking down as follows:

Aquarius - Carries water, isn't submerged itself; watery cave-type.

Scorpio - Sounds like Scorpions, they live in deserts, yay trope environment fullfilled.

Aries - Rams have... like... horns?  So a castle, right?

Cancer - LOL cancer is a disease so you're inside a body.

Pisces - Fish live in water, so it's an ocean.

Gemini - Juicy opportunity for a NES reference here.  (Can you name all of the NES references in Zodiac?)

Leo - Lions are Kings, so like, it's where the leaders live.

I won't spoil the remaining areas out of respect for the LPer, though.

Ah yes that's right, the term King of the Jungle has fallen out of use in recent years, so I was a bit lost, but in retrospect, I don't know how I didn't get it.

I wonder; are those crystals a natural phenomenon, or were they manufactured for the explicit purpose of wrecking my face?

It seems the game couldn't wait until the next corridor to send me back into bullet hell.

Lol, I remember when I tried that in the IoR thread and the mods got pissed at me for doing it.  :teehee:

Youch, well apologies if it made anyone mad.  I just thought he forgot to post it and figured I'd help him out.

I think this is an interesting take on duality.

Part 30

I'm noticing that the difficulty of a boss seems to be directly proportionate to the reward I get for beating it.
