Chuggaaconroy: Never got what made him so special...I don't find him funny and I don't really like how all his LP choices are popular games that have been LPed a million times already...If he wants to be an informative LPer, why not play something we haven't already been informed about?
Funny enough, I believe he's among the most popular LPers on yotube and I totally forgot to mention him in my list since I also don't like his LPs.
Also funny enough, I'm thinking of doing a game he's already LP'd (*gasp*), but I've got a vastly different spin to make it more interesting.
Edit about LP's: To be clear, I do like LPs, I just don't seem to like quite a few of the 'big names' on Youtube. I used to watch TheRealNinjaBoy, I enjoy Naka's work, Eppy's work and there's others on YT I still need to check out. And from the Some Awful crowd, I love Diabetus' work. (I've seen both Battletoads LPs and thought they were hilarious.) ResearchIndicates has a great voice which makes most anything of his entertaining, even if the game sucks. As his name suggests, he's all about informative LPs and damn is he good at it.
Edit: Beware Touhou fans, you're probably about to hate me for this one.
Mima: Why is she so gosh darn popular in the fandom? Why do people want her to come back so much? I do not get it and I never will. Though I doubt I'm alone since when I mentioned it in a Touhou panel, the entire panel groaned.

Same could be said about Muse. But that doesn't stop them from being awesome.
yes
it does
it does so much
Muse are one of the worst bands I have ever heard
Lyrics don't make music any better.

While there are a large number of popular things that I can't stand, I think that expressing them is kind of pointless out of context. If there ends up being a thread about Lady Gaga or Bon Iver then I'll give my honest opinion, but I think stating those opinions in the context of their popularity is... kind of shallow. It feels more like I'm trying to validate my opinions by their perceived controversy and not because of their actual merit. So with that said I will have to reply with:
This Thread
Well, on the topic of this thread, I respect your opinion, but I don't have to agree with it.
It's not my fault people digressed from popular things to anything they dislike, but I still
find the posts interesting, and it is apparently a popular thread, lol
I do have an idea for a more positive thread though.

sounding like you are having an orgasm every other sentence? I HATE that.
Obviously you've never listened to a woman singing while actually having an orgasm. I can't think of a single chart topping female artist who sounds like that. They honestly sound more like they're about to punch someone in the face, like La Roux. Gaga has a fantastic voice, and her vocals remind me more of a caberet pianist just going crazy than, sex.
"These days" female singers are as diverse as ever. Listen to perhaps:
Laura Stevenson
That chick from The Ting Tings
Cathrine Ireton (actually listen to this whole album, it's beautiful)
Don't ever start a sentence with "these days". It's just another way of saying: I am ignorant of this topic, so I will write it off without further examination and pretend to have a strong opinion.
Rap is also not bad. I can't stand most country, but there's still a lot of great country singers out there. Music is not necessarily a person singing, it's noise. Whether that's an opera singer nailing every note down with precise precision, or a guy standing behind a electronic box manipulating static, it's all music. For people who can't sing, I think rap is a perfect type of music. Even those who can like Andre 3000, it's still a really fun sound.
Express yourself
Ocarina of Rhyme

(edit: yeah, Muse made some fun albums awhile ago, but my god I can't stand Bellamy's lyrics. Who is trying to control us? Who is trying to destroy us? I don't think he even knows. His attempts at more operatic pieces have fallen pretty flat with me as well. Black Holes and Revelations is a really good album though, Knights of Cydonia being one of the most fun songs to drive to in the world. They need to stick to stupid fun songs like that instead of pretending to be a serious band.)

Hoooooollllyyyyyyy shiiiiit, how did I forget that. I cannot stand cRap, I think it's a piece of fgudcvu jkv kjvngtdioiofgdbdjoisdvchsfida
dgreengoblinanddarthvaderdjuvdh!!!
This.
Also, as far as pop culture music goes, Adele is really the only person I'm interested in. "Someone Like You" and "Don't You Remember" are such excellent works. I'm actually working on a jukebox musical (a musical using previously released music) using Adele. Because I'm a dork.
But yeah. I don't understand rap at all. Same with the hard rock/metal stuff. I've tried to like it for the sake of having more things in common with some of my friends, but...It just hasn't happened and I've given up.

I love 90% of what you hate. Man if you were a girl and we were dating (Yes, very awkward example
Calm down calm down, I be only pulling your leg.
But yeah, Heavy metal, (Along with punk rock) is my all time favorite type of music.
We Mr. Robin, or opposites. I guess till the end of time we shall be mortal enemies. I think a dual is in order!

Cellphones They annoy me, and there really ought to be some sort of license to own one because there are a lot of morons out there. Anytime I see someone driving and talking on their phone, or God forbid driving and texting, I want to pull up beside them and hurl my Club through their windshield.

Yep. People like driving, but it's not for me. Sometimes the best way to be safe on the road is to stay off it. Driving is a responsibility, and I can barely handle the responsibilities I have.
