Hey, that's just my opinion you know? Shadow the Hedgehog is about killing aliens with guns. Same basic concept of Halo.

Yeah, and Sonic '06 is obviously a rip off of Back to the Future. I mean seriously. It was about going back in time to change the future. Same basic concept of Back to the Future.

Ware hog is just to slow for sonic, and a bit of a copy of Twilight Princess. You just have to agree with that. A Character turned into a wolf and has to fight weird shadowy creatures that fall from the sky. Call me crazy, but I remember seeing that in an actually good game.

You ain't alone. My first time playing the Wii version, I couldn't help but compare it to Twilight Princess. Not that it's a bad thing, I still love Unleashed.

Shadow had fail vehicles and it had Silver (my way of saying I hate him).

Some of the vehicles worked and felt non gimmicky. And let's face it, even if it was gimmicky, chasing down Eggman's train on a motorcycle with machine guns was pretty damn awesome. icon_deformed.gif

Just gameplay, no teams, no guns, no vehicles, no crappy controls, no Werehog, no Tornado

So you don't want to see Sky Chase Zone in it? Really, the tornado isn't bad if its done right. Sonic 2's Tornado level rocked. Sonic Adventure's Tornado levels were fun. Unleashed just felt like they got thrown in last minute for some cool eye candy and awesome music.

no Tornado (I hope but if they actually did it right it wouldn't be so bad)
Someone missed the context. icon_blah.gif

Only if Wing Fortress followed. Cuz, you know that would be amazing.

I really hope there is more playable characters then just Sonic, I mean Playing as Sonic is fun, but playing as Tails and Knuckles would be really cool icon_smile.gif.

UPDATE:

City Escape confirmed, Spagonia (from Sonic Unleashed) hinted at towards the end. So now the official explanation as to why Escape from the City was rerecorded. As for Spagonia, I wonder if it'll be identical to the Unleashed level or not. City Escape looked kinda empty in Modern Sonic's mode; hope that's just the trailer.

Anyways, tonight at 6PM (I believe PDT), Sega's supposed to be hosting their Sonic Generations party where people get to play the demo. And, supposedly a demo was rated by the Australian rating board, which leads to rumor that it might be released over XBL and PSN. Dunno if that's just there or around the world, but hopefully around the world; I want to play the demo so badly. D:

The Spagonia section they show isn't in the Unleashed level (Yes, sadly, I memorized the level from playing it so much), so it's a different level. Anyways, looks very cool. Looking at the interview with Sega, which shows more of City Escape, I'm very impressed. Despite having Unleashed's engine, it plays like SA2. Which is a huge plus for me. It's awesome looking. Very awesome.

Also, I've heard Crisis City is confirmed. If that's true, HECK YEAH!

Awesome. City Escape was one of the best areas in Sonic Adventure 2. So many good memories of that game. One of the first Sonic games I played. My and some friends would compete to see who could find the hidden upgrades for each character first. Oh, nostalgia.

So, was there any word on releasing the demo? I really want to give it a try.

Oh, more info in this vid about the game itself and shows more of City Escape, which makes it look much better than the trailer did. Also confirmed: Tails is non-playable but will appear. As well as some other stuff I forget; just go watch that vid. icon_deformed.gif

Confirmed for "soon." No known release date. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was June 23rd, since that's the "actual" birth date of Sonic.

Wow, just wow. Those stages look really impressive! There is so much detail into these stages it just amazes me!
They come up with a new or several new Sonic games a year, how the heck do they put so much effort into the stages?
They're just so beautiful.

Also, is the 3DS version only going to be side scrolling? Because, that kinda get's rid of modern Sonic for this version.
I'm sure the 3DS could handle the modern sonic. Just tuned down a lot. Not so much activity.

I mean, did you see those graphics for the new Mario games coming out later this year? They look like Mario galaxy graphics!
How could a small handheld handle those kind of graphics? But if it could handle that, why couldn't it handle 3DS graphic modern Sonic parts?

Yeah, only sidescrolling. But they're still different. Classic will play like the console version of Classic, while Modern plays like he does in Rush and Colors DS. Boosting, homing attack, and a focus on speed rather than platforming. I didn't like Rush at all, but Colors DS was tons of fun, so this should be good. The 3DS probably can handle Modern Sonic, but I'm glad they're sticking with the 2D style, because I really liked Colors DS, and I want more games like it. Just please don't let it turn out like Rush.

Not to mention that they confirmed that, other than Green Hill Zone, all the stages in the 3DS version will be different from the console versions. So chances are, they might be remaking levels from the handheld games as well. The Advance series, Rush, Colors... Maybe. We'll see. As long as they take Rush stages and fix them if that's the route they take. Maybe they'll revamp Game Gear ones too. It'll be fun. More looking forward to the console one though but I'll pick up both.

Yeah, what am I complaining about? I love the old school Sonic games. Maybe even more then the new Sonic levels.

Anyway, Rush was okay. I didn't like the story and stuff but the game play was pretty good. It's no Sonic 3, but it's still pretty good and all.
But I'd like it a lot better if at least tails was in it. I mean, I know lots of people just want to play as Sonic, but Tails and Knuckles are great characters. If they were more classic styled, it would be better to play as them. And if the didn't have crappy dialogue, it would be even better.

Check out what I found, those interested in the 3DS version:

Graphics look tight. That's a plus. The downside? Bloody empty. [/Jack Sparrow] The console version looks more exciting. But, if Sega looked at it, they could really pull off a game similar to the console version and make it great. Though it seems to play like the console version in all 2D. ... which could be fun if executed properly. And by that I mean obstacles and paths and such. This... doesn't have much. But meh, maybe it'll get better. It's just the first level. They're not always hard.

Meh. Very much meh. Really cool camera stuff, but, well, he doesn't do anything. He just boosts through the entire dang level. I'm hoping it's just because it's level 1, but if the whole game's like that, I'll be a bit disappointed.

You do know that it was the player boosting through the level, right?
That's not how Sonic normally runs.

Hmm, that's pretty much how every Sonic game is anyway and you don't complain for the rest.

You could choose to zoom through the whole level, or take your time and look at stuff. Most people just zoom past the level.
Levels in Sonic Unleashed are all like that. You don't really stop at all. You just start, keep on going, then finish. Yippy!
