Wow you're cheap! icon_lol.gif Seriously, Terraria is 10 bucks.

I'm an unemployed college student whose only getting by because I'm in a program that grants me free college, I don't even have fifty bucks to my name. So $10 is a lot to me. Arguably I should probably go get a job or something, but that's a discussion for another time.

This game is amazing. I've been playing it since Friday and it's really fun. I actually enjoy it over Minecraft partly, I just think it has a bit more to it than just surviving day and night with materials like Minecraft does. It has NPCs (which you could get from Mods in Minecraft with more creeeps and weirdos, but that involved terrible labor) along with merchants and a money system. But my favorite part of this game is the magic spells and such. I looked up on a good way to farm stars to get lots of more mana.

The only thing I am really missing that I want is the double jump feature, I don't how to get it. It's probably not hard but I haven't even looked it up yet. Also, I posted a video on YouTube of me defeating the Eye Of Cthulu if anyone is interested.(no this post is not just a shameless plug)

It only costs 10 dollars compared to Minecraft's 20 dollars, which is incredibly cheap.

To Double jump you need to find the cloud in a bottle witch is in a treasure chest usually found undergound.
They can appear multiple times so it's pretty easy to get.

I find the easiest place to find a cloud in a bottles is the dungeon. There are usually multiple in one dungeon.

I just recently got this game from a friend, and I am loving every moment of it. I'll gladly take this over Minecraft any day, honestly.

I've done quite a bit already in just three days...got some people to move in, a meteorite crashed, defeated both the Eater of Worlds and the Eye of Cthulhu, and gone on some nice digging raids with a few buddies.

Worth ten bucks? Heck YES.

Glad to hear. I'm looking forward to future patches. They are releasing these patches quite quickly. I love the new goldfish, but think the bats are a bit overpowered.

I just had my first Goblin Army. Wow, it was quite an event. Any time there's a goblin on the screen, the boss music played. It's becoming rather addicting, that boss music. icon_razz.gif I also got my rocket boots. Woop.

Just for fun, I also have a chest in which every slot is filled with 99 Hellstone Bars. They just kind accumulate after a while.

... and yet I've only found a grand total of 4 hooks to date. icon_frown.gif

Dang, I can barely mine meteorite without being bothered much by Meteor Heads, but once I get near the Underworld (aka Hell), I can't do a thing without being mauled. I can't get a bit of hellstone period. : P

So the latest update, 1.0.6, is awesome. Even among all of the changelog items, one of the best features of it is that it's now so much easier to break backgrounds with a hammer. It's like, four times as fast. Even with a copper hammer, you're breaking down backgrounds as if you had a molten hamaxe, or even faster. It's even faster with an iron hammer, like I have right now. So awesome.

Builders, rejoice... there are soooo many new items you can put in your houses. Just so many. > <.

Happy ShadowTiger is happy.

I have started playing Terraria more now, and have been getting a good feel for it, even though I am sure I am far from having learned everything. This game is very addicting. I have to watch myself in that regard. It has gotten to the point where I have come up with my own system of how to make my tunnels.

Apparently it was only my rendition of the new wave bank. Wave bank is the format in which the music in terraria is stored. icon_razz.gif

I don't know why this hasn't been added to Minecraft yet, but it does look like it's going in that direction, or at least a similar one. Either way, when this comes out, we totally have to set up a PureZC-server.

If enough people in this community play this (at least 4, I think), we should consider doing this. I started playing the game not that long ago, and this is very addicting. Considering I don't have all day to play this, I have to force myself to save and exit at some point every time I play it.

I only recently figured out how to collect mana from the shooting fallen stars (funny how I keep saying that wrong), but I have yet to use any magic, and thus need to learn how that is done. I also went deep enough to reach the demons, of which I am currently no match against, despite my gold longsword and gold/silver/iron protections. Looks like I will need to continue to collect more resources. Interesting how you still have plenty to learn after playing a bunch of hours. Due to the random generated world created, this game certainly has a lot of replay value to it. Plus the fact that they continue to update the game adds more to that.

I played way too much and burned myself out for a few days. The Underworld can be a bit easier to survive if you have the right potions. Bonus points if you kill a Demon holding a Guide Voodoo Doll(Just don't let it fall in the lava, you guide will die).

And we DON'T want the guide to die?
