No, he wanted it to be turned back around. NekoArc is on track. He's expressing his opinion on the matter. No more, no less.

EDIT: This post made as a mod, not as a discusser.

We can just let NekoArc post his opinion and let it be. He posted his opinion, which is what this is about.

Hate him or love him, things are looking up.
It's cool to be an American again (Miami Herald)
Oil Prices Sink (Yahoo)
European & Asian economies rise along with value of dollar. (Bloomberg.com)
Black Man gets Nation's worst job.(The Onion)
Who knows if this will keep going, let's all hope so. As per usual, I doubt anyone really knows.

Also, in my city there was a record number of black citizens going in looking for jobs. Apparently when asked, they felt that Obama becoming president inspired them to do so, which while reinforces stereotypes, is still kinda cool.

IMHO, "This is a sad day for America" actually lacks the substance of opinions. Stating an opinion is one thing, but if it lacks any foundation at all, that's another.

As far as my intention went, ShadowTiger put it perfectly.

Nah, it sounds like his opinion is that this is a sad day for America, to me. icon_unsettled.gif

Which is how I feel. I would've rather had McCain in office, but that's all I will say.

I don't support Obama's views. But he's president now, and we're all just going to have to trust him to run the country, because griping about it won't do anything for anyone

Meh, I'll even say it...

Gobama.

Yeah, and since he has to have Congress approval before he can carry out an act, it probably won't be all that different. Or it may be, since Congress is controlled by Democrats, anyways.

See for me it's the opposite; now that the election is over I feel no shame in downloading "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" and photoshopping a picture of Obama and making an animation of him dancing to the song and posting it on youtube. No serious. He's earned a good dance number.

OH MY GOD THAT IS SO ****ING EPIC WIN. Truly we have entered a new age. More than likely a better one, or one that will improve, at any rate.

Well, each new day could be the start of a new age, depending on what you are driving at. As for Obama getting elected president, I do feel that it is a step in the right direction. Others will think otherwise, and that's okay. He has been elected to one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Will he deliver? We will just have to see. As for doing better than Bush, I think there is a lot of potential there, but to get us out of this mess, he will need to do not just better than Bush, but a lot better than Bush. There is a lot of pressure on Obama, and he seems to understand that very well. He will need to put together a cabinet that is well qualified and puts the country before personal interests or special interests. This will all take time, as he pointed out in his speech last night. I think his speech last night spoke great words of wisdom. As for McCain's speech, I am grateful that he was being a great sport about it all.

On a personal level, I think both candidates are good people. I just happen to agree with the views and directions of Obama more than I do McCain. Obama will have one of the greatest challenges a president elect has had in our history (almost as much as FDR and even Lincoln). So while we should be critical, we should also give him a chance. The former is very easy to do, but the latter can be much tougher when you vote for the other guy.

As you wish.

ANYWAYS... as Nathaniel said, it's time to let Obama do his job. If McCain was being a good sport about losing (he even congratulated Obama on winning the election), then our fellow Republicans should also give him a chance to fix this country that we all live in and share.

I find it funny how everyone is talking about how his recession speech was the return to the McCain from the primaries and 2006... and yeah, I agree. From reading up on his Campaign and the insider info, it seems a lot of the things his campaign pushed were things he either personally disagreed with, were pushed out by guys in charge of his campaign, and Sarah Palins screw ups (apparently she brought up Ayers a week before they wanted to, shopping spree, not sounding to good in interviews).

Either way, I don't see anyone raging against McCain. I feel like he'd be a great grandpa to have, but still disagree with his policies, which is at heart what we were voting for. His speech put him back on everyones friend list, and I'm sure he'll go back and continue to be a great Senator. Or perhaps he'll retire. He's earned some vacation time icon_smile.gif.
