... Damn it's addicting. I had a marathon of playing this with my brother and sister. Jeez'm, played it til I felt like my arm was going to fall off.
It is addicting... Sometimes when I'm listening to other songs that aren't on guitar hero, I often wonder what it would be like, or how hard it would be if it was in the game. And then I try making up fingerings for it. Just another way of playing air guitar.
Doing Through the Fire and Flames is something I've been itching to do, but have yet to play the game. I am mad that of all the Tenacious D songs to choose from, they choose one of their worst songs to play to... though in all honesty from what I've seen of Rock Band it looks like an improved Guitar Hero. Don't know anyone who has it however, and I don't have that much money to spare so... for another time/place I suppose.
Oh, that Tenacious D song isn't that bad...
And if you go to Sam's one of these days, you could play it, you know. Just gotta ask...
And Sam says he's thinking about getting Rock Band. Awesome.

It isn't bad, but they have far better ones that would be more fun to rock to, like Beelezaboss, Exposivo, or best yet Master Exploder. I asked you to ask him for me awhile ago, as I only usually see him during lunch, and I'm usually on the opposite end of the table. If he gets rock band though I'll have to just pitch a tent outside his house and live there for a few months or so.
Is it the same game pretty much just with new songs, or have they added some funky fresh new features?

Rock Band is about as hard as GH2 on Hard difficulty, is full of ****house emo songs, has shonkey instruments, and costs a million dollars... I'll pass.
EDIT: Also, the Wii version has so many bugs it's becoming near unplayable. This game was soooo under-developed and shouldn't have even been released. It has a tendency to freeze up... often. Such a shame, because I love the gameplay, but HATE the developers.

Okay, well, they may have been looking for appropriate songs, too. If you know what I mean.
Psh, "I asked you to ask him for me"... Honestly.
Obviously the graphics improve with each new game, and yeah, some new features, but not much is different. For example, in GHI, there was no practice mode, so it was harder to get some of the guitar solos on expert. They added that in GHII. There's basically just new characters, new songs, new guitars/basses, etc.

$160 =D
I don't know about music or the gameplay because I've only seen other people play it at Best Buy, but I know they have Red Hot Chili Peppers on there :O

Replaying the game is fun, at least. And on Extreme mode tihs time around.
(returns to take on One by Metallica)

I think of One by Metallica as like Freebird: Slow smooth opening sequence for nearly four minutes...then boom! Fast paces, double notes, sixtenth note strums, and riffs up and down the buttons like there's no tomorrow.
I can do it on hard, but on Extreme, my fingers are moving so fast, my hand begins to cramp on me while I'm doing the last half of the song (the fast paced part). That's what makes it hard for me to finish.

... wait, I think I get what you're saying... "it sure as hell ain't [like] hard [difficulty]"
And I can tell the difference plenty, just didn't fine One nearly as challenging as DragonForce, or even Cult of Personality (on expert this is).

I did mean One on Hard mode was easy, but on Extreme, it's in league with the others has I have mentioned. I apologize for not being clear on that. I can do it on Extreme if my hand doesn't cramp on me, which happens a lot after playing for a good while.
So One as a warm up song? lol
Speaking of which, I need to plan a guitar hero party. I could get women to do what they did last time I had one (which was during the summer).

And it's EXPERT! Not EXTREME!
And you can beat One on expert then? Since it's in the same league as DragonForce, I suppose you can beat that too?
