That reminds me... does anyone remember Dennis Smith?

This man from San Diego had body tattooed with Tiger stripes, and even got a surgical face like a tiger's, complete with whiskers. Last I heard, he was trying to get fur grafted on.

There's a link to a webpage about him in the post right before yours icon_sweat.gif .

QUOTE
"There's nothing harmful for us if used in moderation. Its when it becomes an excess, that thing becomes harmful."

Quoted for agreement. The more I read this thread (and the more people/furries post in it), the more I tend to agree with, and admire, the furries here - rexlaninetales above all.

As he said on the first line of the first post, it's NOT (mainly) about sex. I can't see what should be disgusting about liking animals, really. I personally don't want anything to do with porn, or the whole "sex industry". But that's not what this thread is about, so enough of that.

QUOTE(Rexlaninetales)
Furrydom is more of a hobby for me than a lifestyle. I still have to cook, clean up the house, earn my keep, just like any human.

I see absoultely nothing wrong or disgusting there.
QUOTE
You can't make any conclusions off of individual furries. Although we have much in common, we are all still unique as an individual.

Quoted for agreement again. You can't judge any "movement" by looking at only one or two of its members.

QUOTE(Shadowtiger)
Then again, is anyone right?

I don't think so, and what I'm saying is only one person's opinion too. But there are some things that I think everybody should follow, and one of those is to accept that other people might have other opinions to me, and that doesn't mean one is right and the other wrong.

Nicely put, koopa.
Furrydom is about being yourself. Thus, you can't judge the movement by one furry.
Just like you can't judge one black, white, jew, catholic, christian etc. by one.

I can't understand you haters. Furrydom is fine.

There is a large gap between "hate" and "disagree", little deka.

Naturally when a topic like this pops up a few people will disagree, some more so than others. You can't expect everyone to agree that something is okay regardless of what it happens to be. You should just be glad it is only a mere three people.

For me, it's almost a lifestyle, because of the way my mind works. I feel more attuned with nature and more at home with animals than with humans.

If you can't accept furrydom, then fine. Just don't be a prick about it if you do feel that way.

What do you call Jaivaz. He was being all PMS about it.
Call me deka again, and there'll be nowhere for you to hide.

For once, I agree with you.

Technically dragons aren't furries, but I tend to get along better with animals than humans.

There is nothing wrong with Jaivaz, you obviously don't know him to well. Jaivaz is this way about everything. He is actually very intelligent.

Me too, but In recent years, I've been broadening out. I get along well with pretty much any domestic animal better than people, but I've also shed many common people phobias since then. Now, I'm mostly concerned with how people stereotype me based on appearance, and that's kinda fun.

If he's that way about everything then I don't want anything to do with him.
He jumps to conclusions, He's simple minded, and I can't stand either of you.

If this topic is going to degrade into a troll/flamefest, then maybe I ought to close it.

And, if you have a grievance against another member, tell them via PM, because no one else wants to hear about it. But be nice about it.

TMOtakuVash is a super moderator at this site still. His new username is Matt.

In addition, reporting people in threads is also not a great idea. Especially in an attempt to put them down.

Now, I will give this topic one more chance to get back on track. I have no doubt that it will be wasted by one of those who wishes to turn this into a big problem like the religion wars last year, though, unfortunately.

If you are one of those people, leave the forums.

Yeah, I blew it a little too much.
Well, I let it all out.
See, I'm depressed all the time. So I tend to just hold it in until I completely blow up.
It's hard being 14. Peer pressure, problems with life, folks etc.
When I let that out, I let it all out.
Yeah, I'm still angry. But this time I'm gonna do the christian thing and not blow my stack.
See, even life as a furry can get boring.
