The only things I remember about the Star Ocean series is that dungeons tend to be overwhelmingly long and the enemies have ridiculasly large amounts of HP.

Oh, and BLADE! OF FURY!!!!

Anyway, I just started Kingdom Hearts on the PS2. It's pretty good. Donald Duck freaking out is just as epic as ever as in the Disney shows. Can anyone tell me how long does KH1 and KH2 take to beat?

I would have to say that if you know what you're doing already, know the best approaches to each boss, and are only going for a storyline finish, you can probably finish each game in about three days. If you're planning on a 100% run on each, with a walkthrough, I would guess about a week (not including level grinding in KH1. [KH2 has a dirty little trick you can use for level grinding on Pride Rock that gets you to LV 99 in about an hour and a half]).

If you're not using walkthroughs and it's your first run, my guess would be to multiply my times by 1.5 or 2.

Out of curiosity, where are you now, and what does the play timer say on your save file? I'll do the math and give you a more accurate estimate. It's been far too long since I've gotten to play a KH game blind, so I'm probably off a little bit.

For KH I'd suggest playing on Medium or Easy and for KH2, play on Hard/Proud. I also believe it will take about 3 days each if you want to 100% everything (And watch the cinematics/story) without a guide, notably longer without a guide.

Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix (An exclusive Japanese re-release of the original game) gives the option to change the camera controls to match how KH2 does it (KH2 has vastly better camera controls).

I'm interested in hearing which game you find has the best story out of KH and KH2 and which has the better gameplay.

You should have gotten it from Newegg or Amazon. They're a lot cheaper there. Regardless, you still bought one of the best JRPGs of this generation. Yuri Lowell is one of the most badassed MCs. Plus he's not one of those cliched MCs you usually see.

I could've gotten it online if I had a credit card. But I don't have one.

And I have admit Yuri is pretty cool. And one more thing this game seems like its going to be hard XD already died 7 times...

Gattsuro (the wolf boss) killed you right? He's one of the hardest boss honestly. Just wait until you get to the "flying sword" (trying to avoid spoilers) boss. I say hes the hardest boss in the game. Oh, and one last thing. The bonus dungeon in this game is missable. You should google how to unlock it.

Actually I died fighting some guards in the castle in the beginning. I should've left the battle difficulty at normal. xD.

And thanks about telling me about the bonus dungeon. I'll go check GameFAQs. and pick me up a walk-though. where I won't miss it.
Another thing Tales of Vesperia has some of the best graphics I've seen in awhile, and holy crap. I feel almost nostalgic on the world map. its been a long time since I seen a world map like that.

Edit: I have to say I'm really enjoying this game!

I'm curious, does Game Stop price match? I know there Australian counter-part (EBGames) price matches other retailers. Can just get them to price match JB HiFi, Game Traders, Big W, K-Mart etc.

You know, I don't really know if they price match. I've never even thought of asking. heck they might.
If they did that'd be great. then I can maybe get the games a whole lot cheaper, maybe.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that game. I mean, I really enjoyed Thousand Year Door, but I had a bad experience with the first Paper Mario. It wasn't any fault of the game, it's just that my first playthrough was using Project 64, and the emulator didn't do a very good job running the game, so there were missing graphics everywhere and migrane-inducing flickering throughout all of Toad Town.

I still have the game on my computer, but the only N64 emulator available to me at the moment (I don't want to download Project 64 again) is on my little sister's PSP, which provides horrible sound and plays the game at half speed, even if most of the graphics show correctly. I am working on hacking my family's Wii as soon as I get a hold of an SD card or a MicroSD adapter, and I know that there's an N64 emulator for it, but I'm not entirely sure how well it works. I guess I'll give it another shot when I have it set up.

On the bright side, now that the GameCube is considered a dead console, I don't have any problems emulating the games for it. I've always wanted to show my little brother Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and Wind Waker. My collection got left at my dad's house and I never got around to re-buying all my old games.

Quick question for anybody with a hacked Wii. Do you need the Classic controller to run the different emulators, or will a GameCube controler or Remote/Nunchuck combo work? I don't have the Classic controller, but I have at least one of each of the alternatives.

30 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles. Holy crap. That "twist" that occurs in Prison Island was intense. Dunban's reaction...

I would recommend a Classic controller for most of the old school games like Snes, Sega, and game boy advance. Gives a allround better feel when playing them.
Reason I didn't add the systems Nes, GB. You can just use the wii mote sideways and play them just great.
And I believe also you can use the wii-mote +Nunchuck. to play most of the emulators as well. but its kinda akward.

And One more thing I also recommend that if you want to play Paper Mario on the wii. I would not play the rom of it. It freeze's as soon as it starts.

The way I can play it on my Wii. is I got this homebrew. "Wiimod". It allows me to install Wii VC games. Which all you have to do is look up Wii VC wads on Google or something to find some. (I found Paper Mario Downloaded to my PC then transferred it to and installed it on my Wii and it works like its supposed to).

Haha. Yeah, that game throws you off-guard a few times. icon_smile.gif

I'm working through Kingdom Hearts right now. I just want to beat it before my roommate.
