You're banned for not just saying that in the first place. Seriously, instead of playing along and making counter arguments in favor of Gurren Lagann (which by the way I'm not against, I absolutely love it), you could have done what Russ did and change the subject. I made a joke about him evading the argument, but I was ready to let it go.

And then you brought it back to that.

Turning this into something serious: Don't try to turn this against me. When you're the one who started it all with the "You're ... kind of making me sick of Gurren Lagann" quote. I only tried making responses to be funny/clever. I tried not to make claims that the show was better, just the characters within. And I explain why I'm turned off from the show and you take it as an attack. You didn't have to delete your avatar or signature. And making "Apparently Satellite is offended by excentricity" your member title is direct trolling and has been removed.

We have our differences, we are entitled to them, but extremism is too much. Trust me, I have much more issue with plenty other people than I ever had with you; you have no need to believe I'm attacking you when I'm just explaining a position. By all means, keep being a fan of whatever you want to be a fan of. Just don't try to shove it in people's faces unless they're asking for it. Which, admittedly, in a thread like this, they pretty much were.

Now back to our regularly-scheduled ban game.

It was addressed, it's over, there's no need to continue it, I have nothing against you and had nothing else to say about it except what I'm obligated to do in my job description. If it was all sarcasm, then you should say so; "hard to tell on the internet" and all that. There's no hard feelings here.
