I made the stain with a real cup of tea, then I just drew a teacup from above and colored it with Photoshop.

Hah. I give you more credit than you deserve then for rendering such a accurate portrayal of splashed tea. Color choice is still pretty great though.

Here's my first custom cartoon character, Cecil. I know there's an Art Gallery topic, but I really didn't want to have it obscured in there, because it doesn't get posted in much...Anyway his full description can be found on his deviantArt page, and as said on that page, he's one of several characters I plan to make, so I can create a web comic (that won't really be updated too often, due to college and spriting, and my game projects).
