I dont' have winter trees yet (so these are subject to change) but I wanted to show off the first couple screens of the upper lake region. It is covered in snow! Also, I made a rainbow. It was a pain. Anyways, as for the palette, I think this is final now.

Wow I'm really loving that rainbow over the waterfall, it reminds me so much of the one you see in Four Swords Adventures near the start of the game. Really nice work once again!

Yeah, that's where I took inspiration. I wanted one screen with only the waterfall and mountains to make it look and feel like the upper lake is way above the lower lake area. However, a screen with only mountains and a waterfall would be extremely boring so I tried to spice it up with the weather effects. I am not perfectly happy with the results but that's as good as I can do so it will have to suffice.

So... can the player actually pass through this screen?

Oh, I see, you've got jump mechanics installed.
I guess there must be something important under that bush with the pink stuff falling on it...

Overall, I like the map! But, I don't really like how the clouds are symmetrical... it doesn't make the clouds look natural, maybe you should try and make it less symmetrical and then it would look more natural?

(Took Sheik's advice and shrunk the trees down...)

Working on Hyrule Field. I plan to have the map slowly change to reflect the neighboring zones to help the player know where the heck he is.

I made a screen in the BS Zelda tileset. I feel like playing around some more with the tileset. This will have to get a fresh look eventually, though. (The layout of the screen is heavily based off some of Prince MSC's work).

I decided to take a break from my main quest and experiment using some custom graphics. Here's a heavily unfinished overworld using EZGBZ.

I really like the Gameboy graphics.
I'm also learning how to properly use layers, so that can make things a little easier in terms of area design, especially in my main quest. This isn't guaranteed as an official quest from me, but I might release it at some point if I finish it.

Huge credit to PMSC for inspiration on the palette choices most definately, too. And credit to Fire Seraphim, too, for the trees and the bushes which mine are edits of. I am trying to avoid any non-BS Zelda tiles that look clashy (so no GB Zelda, no LttP, no tMC, no Z1...).
