If there's a problem with the room, I can always put a "Reset Room" combo somewhere in there so you can get the hammer again.

It's a really bizarre fix and I fully expect that it's an odd and rare issue but if I have to I will. icon_odd.gif

Woohoo! Got the flippers, and I can finally get further in this quest! Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there are secrets in the Dam Level? I don't think I found any HPCs.

The Hammer room worked fine for me. Just to make sure I started the quest anew and played thru the Crypt again, with no issues collecting the Hammer.

Enjoy Life!

where is the level 3 sword, I remember it being in the crystalia town but I went to that spot in the fountain where the two spikes are side by side and dove... nothing... where is it?

Also, in the Crystal mines... I am missing a key here and I see a monster spawns in the top left hang corner of this room but not even a boomerang will kill it... what am I doing wrong here and where is the key I missed, please help.

The location of the level 3 sword

--

That enemy that spawned in the upper left corner is an invisible fire enemy. It's designed to act as a "trigger" enemy which is killed when you collect the boss key, activating the screens secrets, which is to open the boss door.

Although to be honest, I just did a major search and I didn't even find a boss key. icon_shrug.gif How weird is that? How did people open the door in the past, without throwing their boomerang into the corner?

Anyway, I actually added a boss key in a room with an aquamentus in right side of the basement of the Crystal Mines.

New DoY revision.

Is there a list of what tracks are all used in this game and what they are? I still wish people would want different dungeon music... it gets so repetitive.... I like the crystal mines it was a change but still :/ either way I still just want to see the soundtrack list and what games the songs come from icon_biggrin.gif

After I die in the train station I cant move when I am spawned here, It appears I can move but it wont let me so I am guessing it is a bug, just let me know if you see it too, thanks! icon_smile.gif

Also, I didnt finish the train station cause that glitch so I moved to the gallery.... I forget what to do in the room with the chest that moves all around, and in the room where the picture says something about the blood being crimson ( I made the room turn with the switch but not sure what that did) and the room next to it with all the armos ( I killed them all but I only have the L1 candle so I can only use it once, am I suppose to have the second candle yet?)

Also, that hint about l2 tunic... is that in the main world or in one of the dream worlds?

Well, that is an interesting question. If you are referring to the 1st time way back when this was first released in the 1.52 version I honestly don't remember. But it was a long, long time. The game was epic for its time and had many secrets and mysteries to solve. This quest was innovate, creative, and pushed the boundaries of the quest editor and game engine. It was a forerunner to many excellent quests that followed. However C-dawg left a great many (and I mean many) bugs in the quest that he never fixed. It took much effort and time to deal with the continue bugs, dead ends, etc. While it was brilliant, and challenging, it had an extremely high frustration level. Very few finished DoY. All I can say is that the first time in the 152 version it took probably took longer to complete than any other quest I’ve ever played. Although honestly any other quest that had this many bugs I would have abandoned long before completing it. The fact that people played this quest as long as they did with all its problems is a testament to its outstanding creativity.

Then Jman started an update to 183 that he worked on for a time but after a short while its thread disappeared. With that version it was hard to get very far without game running into a game stopping bug. Then Shadow Tiger began his fine work on the 183 version. He managed to clean it up and it was relatively bug free until the Vines area which had and has some serious problems. I quit at that area because Shadow Tiger backed off, I think waiting for a cleaner version of the editor to be released. As you know he has started working again and I hold out hope that he can find the time and tools to clean up the last quarter of the quest. As far as I know the 183 version has never been completed without using Shadow Tiger’s work arounds.

I’m a little concerned that when they finally release a stable version (lol) that Shadow Tiger’s hard work won’t be compatible.

If you’re asking how long it took to start anew and replay to thru the Crypt area it was probably an hour maybe an hour and half. (Remember I was just playing to test the Crypt so I new which areas of DoY were critical to complete and which ones I could bypass)

Enjoy the Day!

Thanks - Joe
