I admire the balance of your faded Green hues and the rustic scarlet colours. Well done.

Marvelous incorporation of your bridge into the environment, it looks aged already, natural.

It looks good Astromeow! Maybe fix this border here, but other than that, I have no complaints. :D

Link has arrived at the elder's house.

Any suggestions?

That is quite a magnificent use of the tileset!

I adore your hillside, especially the use of flowing water.

So simple, yet detailed. Not too many combos or colors to over accessorize

I would like something like a limited (nothing like otW or otM) contest where the best can battle each other in creating a (small area) in a given tileset. Just too see who of you is the best :D

(Though I can't participate in it. You all are so capable.)

...I can't help myself. :P

Link's heading to Castle Town of Hylia! Also I should note the minimap is subject of either change or removal... I'm just too lazy to update the subscreen. Oh, and I should work on Sanctuary Tree after this too. Just felt like creating some overworld scenery.

Edit: Updated the water and waterfall tiles. Updated the bridge screen too somewhat:

(BTW do note that this isn't proper game time; I'm using cheats. :P)

I don't see the border issue encircled, but I like your screenshot, FlameCursed.

Sounds like fun.

Maybe a two weeks quest contest that requires people to recreate the original zelda 1 starting area and 1st dungeon

Castle Town... subscreen is WIP, don't worry.

(Edit: Updated the screen.)

(Edit 2: Ditto.)

(Edit 3: Removed the wall as Joel suggested.)

I did that. I also changed the screen details a tad, I think it's better now. (Look above.)

Impressive stuff as always, Shane.  To be quite honest, you're probably the best screen designer when it comes to the GB graphics.  Keep it up!

Just wanted to say those are some excellent GB shots!  The hanging tunics are my favorite part.  Very creative.

Speaking of shots:

A few things I want to point out.  This is another shot that has the teleporter/console combination from my last shot.  Based on critiques, I changed the color of it to make it look better in not just the waterfall area, but in multiple environments.  I also edited the main character to make him look much simpler in order for him to compliment the simplicity of the tileset in general (Based off of critique in SotW).  Other than that, here is another area I just began working on.  What are your thoughts?

Tbh, Link still looks really out of place, even with the edits. I honestly would just use a completely different Link sprite that fits with the tileset (like Instrumentality's default Link), but I guess you can leave it if you really want to. The screen itself looks great though and I really like that colour choice.

While I do agree with Eddy in regards to the player sprite, I think you did a great job with the structure and setting. It most certainly screams "deep jungle". :)

I finally finished editing Castle Town and making Hyrule Castle! One/two (or one and a half?) major area(s) complete. :D

I wanted to give this castle a unique look, I hope I nailed it. There's also going to be a lot to do too. :) I think that's enough progress for this project, back to Sanctuary Tree.
