What did you say?
Wait wait wait. People actually use that theme? People actually change away from the awesome gold theme? Blasphemy.

He said:
"Regarding Breath of the Wild in my own thoughts, the game does look great and different enough (not in general), but at least to the franchise. Nintendo really hasn't made a 3D Zelda game as free to explore as Zelda 1. And the closest 3D Zelda game that came across to that was Wind Waker. It does seem to have a structure with the Old Man from the start. Otherwise, if the player does not want to talk to the Old Man for progress, then they can do other things as well.
I doubt this will be the 'best' Zelda game, let alone best 3D Zelda game. However, what's great about the 3D Zelda games is just how different they are. If there is someone who dislikes Majora's Mask for its own reason, they might enjoy something like the Wind Waker, so on and so forth. I don't mind BotW being similar to the Elder Scrolls series, because let's be honest, open-world games are really one of the most popular sub-genres to play today since it gives players the most freedom. And since each 3D Zelda is radically different, I don't think we will see another Zelda game like BotW."

Which (somehow) arguably looks better than in that tech demo. I dunno, nothing seemed right. The environment's kind of bland, Link seems off mostly in color, and Armogohma... I'm not sure what choice of words I'd use to describe it but suffice it to say it doesn't sit right with me. Plus, more "realistic" art styles just don't age well, and Breath of the Wild is gorgeous, so I'm glad that's what we ended up with.

If there's any art style that I'd like to see rendered in 3D, it's the Majora's Mask concept art style. That would greatly enhance the atmosphere of that game.

Thing I often missed: Ganon is visible in the trailer, flying around inside that barrier. It's... kind of really awesome, and makes me have visions of what the final battle could be like. A climactic clash on the battlements with a foggy, airborne Ganon, with dark skies and lightning strikes? Well, I don't want to fantasize too much lest I potentially be disappointed, but there are definitely some cool possibilities.

I just figured that he would get stronger over the course of the game and regain his corporeal form

a look at the game's map reveals a skull shape somewhere high in the mountains. Combined with the game's classical leanings, its very likely that Calamity Ganon is just a projection of some sort. The real Ganon lies up North...

What map? The map from almost two years ago? Also, the demo reveals that Ganon was sealed in the castle for 100 years, so...

Can we please do something besides "sealing" foes? I mean I don't care if they get revived in an assortment of ways, but sealing them away instead of destroying/killing them is just begging for trouble and makes our heroes look naive and weak ![]()
I'd much rather they be killed/destroyed (even if it doesn't last long) because at least our protagonist(s) would be effectively dealing with the situation instead of just putting a cork in the bottle until the pressure makes it burst. That's called procrastination, not heroism.

I was under the impression that they had no choice but to seal him this time. Maybe that wasn't explicitly stated. I'd have to look at the old man's dialogue again.

It's just that I'm tired of them having no other choice. One of the things I liked about Twilight Princess was when Zelda admitted that sealing away Ganondorf in the Twilight Realm wasn't dealing with the problem effectively, it was irresponsble and just caused trouble for the Twili people in addition to her own kingdom (eventually).

Could also be that they're aware of the curse and sometimes they feel the best method is to seal, instead of just letting Ganon reincarnate?
