Likewise, my avatar involves smoking, but does not advertise it. If my avatar were to in any way say that smoking is a good thing, THEN it would be advertising smoking.

I dunno. The custom title says that that's how all courtrooms should work, so technically it is advertising them, in a way. So you're banned.

I would agree, except that a burger king wrapper lying in the gutter in our peripheral vision
of a film is considered advertising.

You're banned because I wouldn't consider that advertising. IMO, something should only be considered advertising if you're saying something good about it. A Burger King wrapper isn't neccesarily saying Burger King is good, it's just saying that someone ate at Burger King. For all we know, that person could have absolutely hated it.
