A minute ago, Pinkie was standing above what I was typing and Rainbow Dash did a Sonic Rainboom across my screen :3

Okay, I have a few random observations and comments. For some reason, I feel the need to share all of them.

First, why does everypony assume Rainbow Dash is a lesbian? Does being a tomboy with rainbow hair automatically make you a lesbian? There is nothing in the MLP canon that identifies her as being one, yet the fans have suddenly decided that, yes, she is in fact canonically a lesbian. There isn't anything wrong with it if she is, but I really hate it when people start to assume things because they want it to be true, despite having no evidence.
A similar thing is how Luna is such a beloved pony, despite appearing in one episode and having about 30 seconds of screen time. There isn't enough there to even begin judging her as a character.

Second, what does everypony see in Dash that makes her so popular? Sorry, but I honestly think she is a rather mediocre character.

Finally, pony ranking:
Pinkie Pie > Fluttershy > Twilight Sparkle > Rainbow Dash > Rarity > Applejack

More so, it's quite common that people ship tomboyish girls with other girls, this is of course stereotyping, but that's just how the world goes. In fact, most of the shipping in MLP: FiM in general is girl on girl, this is mainly since there are so few male characters in the show and the whole mane cast is female.

I know that, but it just makes me wonder why people feel the need to ship everybody with everybody. I don't mean the people who ship characters as jokes, or relationships that are canon in the media, but the people who are so damn serious about it, despite there being no evidence of attraction at all. As a MLP example, Lyra and Bon Bon. It just makes no sense. Especially because...

I'm at my brother's place for the weekend. I forced him to watch an episode this morning before we left for an air show. Guess what I'm forcing him to watch tomorrow....

EDIT: Actually, I think he's pretty open to the idea of My Little Pony being a good show. He originally asked if there was anything better to watch (he checked the guide, he almost turned the channel to Spongebob, but then stopped and said "I guess there's nothing else on"). During the commercials he kept singing Pinkie's song (we were watching Bridle Gossip). Later he said "I'm just going to assume everything is going to turn out okay, I'm going to take a shower now." It wasn't more than 5 seconds before he was back on the sofa saying that he wanted to see how it ended. I might have another Brony in the family :3

My Rainbow Dash shirt comes on Wednesday, so I'll have to tell everyone else in my family that I watch My Little Pony. I guess it will be easier if I have one of my brothers watching it too.
