It would be nice if the enemies were actually capable of hitting the player, too. icon_razz.gif

As for what it actually says, looks like it's still the original MQ dungeons, Russ. Doesn't get me too very excited, still. Flipping an empty field is still an empty field, guys.

Um, no. The dungeons are also harder and a lot different. Jeez, read up on it before making assumptions. icon_rolleyes.gif
So wait, is Master Quest going to be THE Master Quest or is it going to be the normal quest mirrored and tougher enemies? Becase the Master Quest for the N64 DD (and released on Gamecube) featured the same overworld but different dungeon layouts, the enemies in the dungeons were indeed tougher versions but only barely while the bosses remained easy as heck with nothing changed oh and Water Temple was stream lined to the point of complete bordeom.

It looks, well, like the same thing I could play since I was 3 years old. What's so exciting about a replica of a 13 year old game?

Anyways, they announced a few new features the other day. First off, the Water Temple has these florescent paths that make it easier to find your way around. I can't say I don't like that. But then here comes the kicker. "Master Quest" is just the normal game, but mirrored and with harder enemies. That right there is the last straw for me. Nintendo really doesn't give a S*** about making Ocarina of Time better. They're just pumping out a decades old game to make a quick buck. Really, I expected better from them.
Oh, so you know everything about this game? since when did you start working for Nintendo? Seriously, you don't know anything about the game, it hasn't been released yet, so you don't know that it's just the same old game they released 13 years ago,
because it is not, if it was it would be the N64 version, not a completely remade version, now would it? icon_rolleyes.gif

OMG Russ you are the most irritating person ever! You know nothing about the game! You don't know if they are going to add content or whatever. You are a disgrace to every Zelda fan on this site! And even if all they did is just graphically improve the game, I'd still buy it. You are a huge know-it-all when actually, you know nothing! It's like you're autistic or something!
You do not work for Nintendo so you do not know anything about what they are doing! Now do everyone a favor and just quit posting on this forum!

Closed until further notice. Very disappointing what is going on in here. Goes to show the lack of maturity on this site right now. Guys, Russ was expressing his opinion, which he has a right to do. All this fanboyish backlash is ridiculous.

Alright, Lynker, Keiichi, enough. Both of you. I'm gonna come right out and say it: The two of you are being more annoying than you make other people out to be. It should not have to be said again that people are entitled to their opinions. However negative they are. You don't like it? Calmly try to see what's on their mind. Barring that, ignore it entirely. I'm sorry, but posting like you two just did is incredibly immature stupid. No half-assing this one: You two periodically give the staff headaches.

If I may address specific points.

No, fanboys are. With their talk of "Everything about everything in every Zelda ever is PERFECT!!" it makes me want to vomit. While I love OoT to death, I respect the opinions of people like Russ and Prospekt, though I like to poke fun at them occasionally in chat or rarely on the boards. But hey, guess what? I respect them much more than the fanboys.

That's very offensive. Never make statements like this; you do realize some of PureZC's members are autistic, right?

You want to leave a forum and go to another? That's fine. It's also your decision to make sure you leave a forum broadcasting how big an asshole you are. You want people to remember you like that? ... well, I'm not sure why people would want to remember you after this. But if they do, it won't be fondly.

Maybe you'll shrug that off. So I'll say this as well: "Okay bye."

You can think that, but Keiichi's post is entirely unkosher and unacceptable. Some would even consider this trolling. Not saying whether I do or not.

Lynker, you have made several assumptions about how good this game will be. If you're going to tell Russ to stop making negative assumptions, you stop making assumptions of your own before telling someone else to.

I agree with Nathaniel in that this thread will remain locked until whatever we need to is done with. Expect consequences.

But what IS harder? Do they just have a health buff? attack more frequently? have more attacks? Are boss fights changed or just a health buff to make them last a decent amount of time for once? And thanks for confirming that it will be of the Master Quest which already has harder enemies (Various enemies have additional health but still die pretty easily), will the 3DS one have even harder enemies then what Master Quest introduced?

That shadow link picture is of the best fight in the game, clearly.

Yes, the enemies will do 2x the damage, but i'm not sure if they'll attack different or more often.

I think I read somewhere that enemies' attack patterns will be switched up, but I don't remember where. It might have been Zelda Dungeon, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I don't think I've commented on this yet so I'll do that now. I'm going to be totally honest; I've never beaten the original Ocarina of Time. I got to the start of Jabu-Jabu's Belly and then just kind of stopped. Can't remember why, as it's been a while. Unfortunately, I don't think I own a copy anymore. I do have an N64 though so maybe sometime.

That being said, I will (hopefully) be buying OoT3D. From what I've seen so far it looks quite fun and interesting. Also, is it just me or do Dark Link's eyes look kind of squished together?

I'm thinking of buying a 3DS sometime this week (While Amazon have it for around £164.99 (RRP £220) for preparation to this game however i would buy Rayman 3D (I know Rayman 64 remake but my N64 Controllers has seen better days and my PC version is incompatible with 75% of the PCs in my house (And incompaitable with my gamepad))

But if all the changes from Master Quest is that the Dungeons are mirrored and the enimes are tougher 3 Heart Run here i come again and if you guys get stuck on the Master Quest Puzzles just ask cause I may or may not have a lets play on this game.

Although what I've seen of this game I really wish I could have it now.
Lets hope they use this engine again and make a Majora's Mask 3DS and Master Quest *Gets Shot*
