Sounds interesting. Send me an invite! I'll PM you my Gmail email address (which I assume you need to send the invite to).

And to clarify, so you don't get confused. Google Wave is meant to be a reinvisioning of e-mail, newgroups, and instant messaging. Kind of.

Its set up more like e-mail, you have an inbox, a search box to find stuff and whatever.

You can send and receive messages in real-time. As in, people can see what you're typing as you're typing it. You can edit each other's "blips" (ala the "wiki") and can set multiple people to be able to see a message.

You can also make public waves(ala "news groups/forums") to which anyone who searches "with:public" can see.

Along with that, there are various robots and applications being built, some for business, some for personal, and some targeted to people who want to play games on Wave. You can collaborate on stories, or other written works. Plan for stuff, and just make things pretty easy for your friends to know what's up.

In short. Its still pretty much e-mail.

The only real downside is that only people with a google wave account can send and receive blips to/from other people with google wave. You can't send an e-mail from, say, gmail to wave.

If you really REALLY want to know more, you could look up the hour long video on http://wave.google.com

Maaaan, lucky! It's raining literally all day so far. It hasn't stopped. It's been one semi-torrential downpour after another hour after hour.

I'll be spending the entire rest of the week working on projects and schoolwork. That's pretty much it. Chanukah in two nights. I'll be working.

Ugh, I wish I had a snow day. For the past week, it's been between 10 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and yet it hasn't snowed! This is ridiculous!

I have an equally ridiculous notion about this December. last Thursday, it was SIXTY FIVE DEGREES outside! It was fsking BEAUTIFUL outside. I could not ask for a better day. I've had worse days in Spring itself!

Two days later, Thirty degrees out.

WOW.

So now it's raining, and it definitely feels like the high Fifties out there. I think I don't hear any rain. That's a first for the day...

AND THEY SAY GLOBAL WARMING IS A LIE!

It hasn't been really cold yet here either. We got rain, and some snow. Enough to delay the schools. doesn't matter, though, I have night classes so its not effected.

The fact that it's 30 degrees colder than it normally is here seems to be evidence against it. icon_razz.gif

I don't understand the science behind global warming at all (actually I sort of do, but not anywhere near enough to have an intelligent discussion on it) so I prefer not to have an opinion on it. icon_blah.gif Besides, it's not really an opinion, is it? It's a fact that the earth is getting warmer; whether man is the cause or not is the real debate.

Anyone else taking finals this week? I just finished my second of three, and so far I feel great about my performance. icon_smile.gif

I only had to take two finals in all of high school, so I was lucky right there with ya.

Alestance: You're having finals that late into December? I was always out of school at least a week before Christmas...

School's going to late for me this year. My school schedule revolves around my two homeschool coops. One of them started Christmas Break yesterday. The other doesn't end until the 17th. icon_frown.gif

I have four finals I have to take. ... Well, two are finals. The other two of the four classes are art exhibitions I have to attend, bringing in my work and tacking them up for all to see, and the professor to grade. Really not looking forward to any of them, to be honest.
