I'm gonna guess you missed the part in like literally every trailer where Link is on a horse? He has pretty much been on a horse in every trailer.
Boar riding might return, I saw boars...

>Hyrule is post apocalyptic. Very few people remain.
>Hundreds of "trials" in the game. Basically minidungeons you complete for spirit orbs.
>Weapons have durability
>Collect multiple weapons
>Linkcan change clothes now, starts off in boxers
>Defense values for clothes
>Eating is only way to restor health
>Cook food
>Eating can also give buffs, like cold resistance
>Huge expansive overworld
>Ganon main villain
>New stealth meter
>New item called Sheikah Slate (that book thing): main item in the game, can upgrade to perform different functionalities such as magnetism, freezing time for certain objects, bombs, etc
>Summon wolf link as a familiar using the wolf link amiibo
>Overall, more of a survival tone.
Check Nintendo's Youtube page for gameplay footage. There is a lot of it.

-_- I hope this cooking food stuff goes as fast as collecting hearts.
You don't need to cook food to eat it as you have food like apples for example. Although it broadens your options and if you want more hearts and added bonuses (such as extra temporary hearts and cold resistance (there are other ways to obtain this too, don't worry)) you're going to have to sacrifice a bit of your time. You don't eat the food straight away either, it can be stored for later. The exploration and what you do in this game is one big puzzle. You don't have to cook either as I'm sure you can survive without doing any cooking. You can also find cooked food in enemy camps and NPC camps anyways.

People talkin' 'bout Link waking up to save the land... seems like something went wrong and Link woke up too late if you ask me.

Hope so. Also hoping it's the Death Mountain we saw in OoT, but split open in some sort of... calamity.

It's the timeline where Link never reopened Dodongo's Cavern so the Gorons' stomachs grumbled so loud the mountain broke open.
At least they were able to get their food afterward.

Regarding Breath of the Wild in my own thoughts, the game does look great and different enough (not in general), but at least to the franchise. Nintendo really hasn't made a 3D Zelda game as free to explore as Zelda 1. And the closest 3D Zelda game that came across to that was Wind Waker. It does seem to have a structure with the Old Man from the start. Otherwise, if the player does not want to talk to the Old Man for progress, then they can do other things as well.
I doubt this will be the 'best' Zelda game, let alone best 3D Zelda game. However, what's great about the 3D Zelda games is just how different they are. If there is someone who dislikes Majora's Mask for its own reason, they might enjoy something like the Wind Waker, so on and so forth. I don't mind BotW being similar to the Elder Scrolls series, because let's be honest, open-world games are really one of the most popular sub-genres to play today since it gives players the most freedom. And since each 3D Zelda is radically different, I don't think we will see another Zelda game like BotW.

Honestly I'd say Ocarina of Time was the most open of the 3D games, especially since Wind Waker does railroad you at least until the second dungeon, if I remember right. Adult dungeons can be done somewhat out of order and the world's still mostly free to explore, with only a few obstacles, but it definitely has more restriction on progression than Zelda 1 or even A Link to the Past.
