Very true, this version seems to be a bit more true to how a horse actually moves.

Well then, horses are very awkward creatures.

Heh, well, the animation is a bit different from real life. From my experience (I live practically surrounded by horses), they don't "lunge" their heads forward like Epona does... in the video, it looks like Epona is pushing her head forward and her body just moves forward with the momentum. Also, Epona seems to rock back and forth more than natural.

I wish there was a gallop feature in the game-- from the video, and gameplay, I think a canter is as fast as Epona goes (or, rather, her animation stays the same, but gets sped up, which is unnatural). But, flying across Hyrule Field in a gallop would be awesome. In a gallop, horses can keep their bodies parallel with the ground and keep them pretty much the same distance from the ground, so it's a lot less jarring for the rider than a canter is. Also, it's a lot more heroic, which is always cool.

Trailer's kinda cool. Although, is it just me or does Ganondorf's horse land on its front hooves a bit too quickly? It looked like it tried to have its hooves in the air, then lost balance and fell back down.

EDIT:"it tried to have its hoove sin the air". WHAT

Newest Nintendo Power features an Ocarina of Time 3DS article, as well as an ALttP article. Also, the cover features Link and Epona riding across Hyrule (at least the Subscriber Edition does, I'm not sure about the regular cover).

All the character animations in the new trailer are weird looking, Ganon's horse rearing on it's hind legs and walking after a Spin Attack (0:34) are examples.

Edit: The Ganon cutscene with his horse, actually looks to be sped up, perhaps to make it sinc better with the epic music? I mean it might be just sped up for the trailer. (Zelda's white horse for instance gallops notably faster and stuff)

Now that you mention it, that horse Zelda's on is galloping a bit fast. Faster than the sound effect actually. And goddammit, now I keep hearing that sound effect any time I'm typing really quickly.

Yeah, it is obviously sped up. Anyway, would WOULD they make Ganondorf's horse go that fast? They probably wanted to fit it in.
Same with how they sped up Link pulling the Master Sword.

Also, did anyone else notice how Link pulled it and it went sideways? It seems like they're really showing that Link is a kid this time icon_biggrin.gif

If only he fell with the sword in his hand the first time, that would be epic icon_biggrin.gif

Um...

That was quite possibly the best thing I've seen in a long time. I don't really know what else to say other than I officially can't wait for this game.

Crap, wait. I don't even have the system yet! D:

It looks, well, like the same thing I could play since I was 3 years old. What's so exciting about a replica of a 13 year old game?

Anyways, they announced a few new features the other day. First off, the Water Temple has these florescent paths that make it easier to find your way around. I can't say I don't like that. But then here comes the kicker. "Master Quest" is just the normal game, but mirrored and with harder enemies. That right there is the last straw for me. Nintendo really doesn't give a s*** about making Ocarina of Time better. They're just pumping out a decades old game to make a quick buck. Really, I expected better from them.

If master quest really is that and not "Another Zelda" (Ura Zelda) then it has potential, if the enemies are hard enough. I'm excited for it because it's the same game sans the clunky physics and movement as well as all new graphics with more 3D models for things and less 2D sprites, oh and the boss rush mode, oh and the fact it can be played on a system that doesn't have a analog stick that wears out in a week.

Um, no. The dungeons are also harder and a lot different. Jeez, read up on it before making assumptions. icon_rolleyes.gif
