Oh absolutely, absolutely. They say our natural body temperature drops several degrees while we sleep. This sort of helps. Besides, I CAN NOT sleep while I am hot. I sweat and roll and choke and thirst. Sleeping with the TV on also helps a lot. Not quite sure why. Background noise. It creates something to try to get away from to sleep. Trying to sleep without a distraction is like trying to go somewhere in an empty pitch-black box. Feels kind of pointless.

Well, I've seen Migo's avatar and Nathaniel's as well. I'm sure there's another I'm forgetting off-hand, but I was just curious is all. It was all over a kit-kat? Wow, can't say I've ever heard something like that before.
I believe it was Angeal. We do occasionally get a lot of awful customers who just don't believe society's rules should apply to them. Here's a site with plenty of such tales that you can peruse at your leisure.

I got an awful customer too... the kind that likes to complain to me by demanding that I quit my job simply because I'm not too good at it.

You know... my boss once told me that I am to expect that every single customer that walks through the door will suck... cause if then they don't, it'll be so much easier for me to appreciate those who actually aren't douches. icon_smile.gif

I remember that one. I think you write -amazing- articles, Migo. Definitely. icon_thumbsup.gif I enjoy reading them all.

Yep, well said. It makes me smile very often when I say "HI! icon_biggrin.gif " and a smile explodes onto their face. Kinda deflating when the next lady who walks in treats you like a robot, but eh. You get what you give. icon_twisted.gif icon_superevil.gif

... ... no seriously. Smile at me, and you -will- leave happy, one way or another.
Be mean, however, and that's what you'll get.

While I can't stand the cold outside I love it inside, especially before bed. It makes it worlds easier to get to sleep, I find.

I constantly keep my bedroom at an acceptable temperature, my heating is constantly on "off" and my window on "open". (And we don't have A/C over here. Summer can be annoying.)

I don't mind the cold outside either though. We had a sprinkling of snow a few days ago only to get most of it rained on since.

Made me chuckle but for different reasons than you might imagine. icon_smile.gif

Also, we just had our first snow of the year here today, so it looks like the weather is finally catching up with the season. I broke out my winter coat for the first time.

It's snowing!

Okay, it's not snowing very hard, or sticking, but still, snow! Hopefully it will get cold enough tonight for it to stick.

It was raining here yesterday. There was a small bit of snow mixed in; not enough, however, to even call it sleet though.
There was more snow upstate, though; I would know because we got our Christmas tree this afternoon.

We had snow two nights ago, but we all knew none would stick. I would have gone outside in it, but I was watching Hot Fuzz... and you just can't abandon that, now can you? icon_razz.gif

I did, but it was because I was watching it at a friend's house and had to be home for a certain time... >_> We never did finish it... icon_razz.gif

Ah, you really should; the ending is absolutely incredible (and drop-dead hilarious); it's one of my favorite action sequences of all time.

I'm sure one day he'll strap me down and force me invite me over to finish it. icon_razz.gif It seemed like a good movie, so I think I'll get around to finishing it one day.

So, I was wondering if anyone wants invites to Google Wave. I invited just about every person I know already, so I have 17 invites to spare. PM me if you want one, and the first 17 people who do get it. icon_shrug.gif

Google Wave is a collaboration tool. It might be useful if you're doing group quests or the like. Its also in "preview" mode, which means only people who get invited can partake. Plus it might be buggy. I wouldn't know, didn't have much time to try it.

If you want the short version of it, its kinda like multiplayer notepad. No, I'm serious. E-mail, Instant Messaging, Wiki, Forum, etc. mix it all together, then add an API for people to develop games and tools, and then have text update in real time as someone is adding/editing a post.
