I like how we're posting maps on the screenshot thread. Anyway, the map looks nice Sheik!

Well I could be posting some twenty-something screens instead, but what's the point? Thanks, though, for the kind words. ![]()

That's strange, I had those big trees in mind yesterday. But I forgot Big Link in EZGBZ existed. This looks like a Link's Awakening remake, below Animal Village.

Expect an update soon.
Beautiful. It's amazing to be able to see these things be created in Zelda Classic! ![]()

@Homura: It's a very appealing, well laid-out beach screen. Might not hurt to add just a little ground detail, though.
@Orithan: I'm a sucker for scripted subscreens, and that one looks very natural. All the subscreen graphics just fit like they were made for each other (which they probably were).
@Jared: The symmetry of the trees would normally seem off, but since it's in front of a castle it makes sense. Looks nice!

This is tentatively the second screen in my quest. The purpose is to introduce octoroks since they're considerably harder than normal ZC ones.
I really like this. I love the shape of it mostly. You use Koten very well. ![]()

Here's a screenshot from the quest I'm working on right now.

So much tile editing! ![]()
Seriously, most of the big tree in the middle is edited tiles.

Jared - Looks like a neat desert temple kind of shot. I also like the sand area to the right.
Hookshot - The screen looks cool, but I'm really not a fan of that big tree in the middle of the screen. It looks really weird and doesn't look that great honestly. I'd probably stick with a regular house tree instead personally. Good effort though.

You really need to look at what the tree is meant to look like before you try editing tiles like that. For one thing, the lightest part on the top is where the light is hitting it directly. Editing it the way you did puts those light spots all over.
If you really want a larger tree, you're going to have to try ripping one from a different game. There are a few pirated Zelda games for the NES. The graphics on those usually look like crap, but I remember one actually did a really good job simplifying the Minish Cap graphics to fit in with NES/GBC graphics. The only issue with it is the palette. Try copying the tree graphics from there and recoloring it to fit the same way the GBC graphics are made, with a black outline and the normal GBC colors, and you should be able to get something that both looks really good, and will do a better job filling in the additional space that the ZC screen size provides. As a bonus, there are some simplified Minish Cap houses that you should be able to do the same thing with, and they'll help fill in space better than the GBC houses as well.

TFW you're messing around with another tileset and should be working on your actual project.

Made this in ten or so minutes. My rust is showing, I feel.
(Also not sure where this palette came from, I forgot... I assume it was in that old palette thread, but I could be wrong.)
