Nice screen, Shane, I like that a lot. Wonder what sort of books there are inside the library... maybe magic spell books? Probably not.

An ancient library, forgotten and mysterious, sitting on top of a mountain.
I like it alot! Palette, layout and details are nice. There's something with the mountain that doesn't look right to me though:

I've done a minor improvement on my S:CA screen, based on Eddy's suggestion. The main difference is that I removed the grass tiles.

The new ground detail looks much better in the improved shot. Now it looks more like an underwater shot.

I imagine the library will have spell books to help solve puzzles or gain hints. Thanks!

As for your screen critique, it's much appreciated. Sadly these are the only tiles appropriate to merge mountains together like that, but maybe I will make my own tiles/find an alternative solution to make them look better? IDK yet. ![]()
Nice improvements. Minor as they are, the screen looks much nicer now. I wonder what the lady is doing over there lol.

Drowning, I'd imagine ![]()
But I'll agree with the rest - the original floors looked more like a recently-flooded overworld field, while the new muddy/sandy look feels like the place has been underwater for a while.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm on a roll today. ![]()

Started and cleaned up my first shot of castle town. I made the brick benches myself! I'm not happy with the Triforces on the road. They will do until I make/find replacements, though.
Special thanks to Shane for inspiration! ![]()

Here's my screen. Obviously Jared's is far superior since the palette and detail make his screen far more appealing, but I thought I would share this screen cause I thought it had some neat ideas going on for a simple Firebird castle town.

All three of those town screens look really nice in their own ways. But where are the people? Unless they're all in the next screen over, it looks like we've got a set of ghost towns.
Still great looking screens though.

Welp, there's your new project. Firebird NPCs. Go!
(I don't use Firebird so that's not actually a request)

Maybe, I just find that incredibly lazy though. However, I will probably revamp the GB NPCs to fit with Firebird similar to the enemies and Link himself. Right now though I was just messing around with Firebird to give Jared (and myself) some ideas for his Castle Town.
