Yeah, drunk ropes can be a pain. I recommend not buying potions or super bombs before entering the Forest of Illusions, unless you really have to. The drunk ropes WILL use them, for you. And the more you are hit by them, the more the effect stacks and the more likely it is to waste your items. ^_^;

Besides the ones in forest of illusion I found a semi useful tip againest such foes if your hit by a drunk spell and have the flippers head for water quick, water nullifies the use of items and protects your valuables, note only works with areas near water of course

Second after I pass thru the desert do I need to head north, south or west kinda lost at this point and with enemies this tough I am trying to avoid tough baddies

The dark wasteland can be difficult but did you finish off the eighth floor in the tower it will help greatly through the dark wastelands and make most of the enemies weak as kittens. I personally tend to stun them and reflect their shots back at them.

I'm in level 3 and I think I need one more key and the boss key. I have the hook shot. I have seen the chest for the second item. is it the hammer? The one room i can't figure out is the one with the one sliding block that lowers the 3 blocks or what ever they are called on the left. After I get there I can't hookshot back because there is nothing to hookshot too. I tryed shooting arrows bombing things. Moving that block around some.

Is that the room where kill all the enemies and you get a single bomb after you hookshot off a moving platform?
In that room you have to push the block and find a space where you cannot push it on and the rest will be solved with a little elbow grease and a bomb.

Ok I am in level 4 I don't know how to explain where I am stuck at. I got the bombable wall. I'm in the left side of the basement. That last thing i did was go through the warp at the top most corner. It dropped two block which I haven't even found yet. No keys no dungeon item yet. I have that whole side explored. I think I need to drop the blocks by the fairy fountain.

Hi Beefy.

I played this quest when it first came out. Im replaying the quest, and have also made it to level 4.

When I continue in the morning, I'll answer your question, but from memory, this level is one of the hardest levels in the game. You may want to trawl back through the posts, I go into detail about level 4 from this post:             #149

in the meantime, if u could upload a pic of where you're stuck i may be able to help.

The first objective will be the dungeon item and do not have to worry about keys till then, yeah screen shots will help figure out where you are having trouble with.

Joki the revisions are to improve the quest and it did nerf some of the enemies, added some hints to clearifiy some of the trickier puzzles or where to go, and corrections to the terrain and clean up some really bad back tracking.

I'm going to be playing it some more right now I will try and get some screen shots. I did the thread search for level for. It's a bummer it  doesn't detect numbers. I read through all of the posts with level in it looking for level 4 tips the closest I got to where I am at is supposedly there is a switch by the fairy fountains. I know there is a warp in the lower corner that has a switch when you beat it but that opens two warps. not the fountains. One of the warps takes you to a courtyard kind of thing that you go up a few screens you come to a room with 2 doors that are closed. One door on your right which takes you to the northern part of the area on the same floor as the fairy fountains. This area has a warp in the right most upper screen to an area where you beat a couple of things and there is two switches in there. Only one of them does something. It lowers two blocks somewhere in the dungeon I can't get two or haven't been to yet. In this same area the only other thing I can see is a warp except this one is red instead of yellowish orange and it just takes you to the entrance of the dungeon.

Yeah, the red warps always indicate a shortcut backward in the dungeon.

A lot of Level 4 is exploration. You need to look at everything and go everywhere. Try to bomb walls, try to break all the things, and ALWAYS explore all areas.

Apart from that, as the others said, try to get some screen shots for us to see, if you can. I'll be looking into the part you're talking about, in the meantime.

Can't figure out how to upload screenshots to this post and I don't have image shack or anything. I changed my avitar to a screen shot of where I am  been to the lower section of this map too.

Didn't want to start a new post. I must of done something or redone something I missed like likes kept stealing my shield so I just do retry and don't save if that happens. The two blocks by the fairy fountains opened up. Just got the ocarina. I'm leaving that as my avitar as long as it's cool with you guys.

In this post you say you have yet to find any keys. Is this still the case? If so, then I advise that you follow my last post and destroy all the things. This includes tall grass. In the main room. There should be a key to find, there.

Ah, alright. Good to know. The ocarina should unlock everything for the entire dungeon. Are you still stuck, or are you progressing at a decent pace, now?

I found the first key. I'm pretty far past that point. I haven't found any other keys I think. i'm pretty sure I'm good to go though.

I think i am progressing. I just got the ocarina and saved at the beginning of the dungeon. So I'm guessing use the ocarina at a couple of obvious spots. Thanks for the help.

Once you get the ocarina it will pretty much unlock the rest of the dungeon and remember us can go past number 2 on the warp rooms.
