So I finally got someone with an Eevee Safari to come online and I was able to get the Eevees I needed. While I was catching them, I came across a Shiny Audino and caught that too. Huge shame it wasn't an Eevee.... I've heard rumors about Shinies coming more often in Friend Safaris than in the normal areas, not sure if true or not. I'm gonna wander a bit and see if by some chance it is and I can get a shiny that way as I probably won't be getting a good Foreign Eevee for breeding for awhile. 

 

One thing that confuses me though, is I heard you can only get a pokemon with the Hidden Ability if that friend is online. Well the owner of the Friend Safari was only on like 3 minutes and the Eevees still had Anticipation when I found them hours later. I entered while he was online, so maybe that's all you need to do or just have them come online once. May test that too.

 

Out of curiosity, I saved and caught a Female with a Master Ball, then started breeding it to see if the offspring would be born in Master Balls and they weren't. I didn't save after catching the Eevee with the Master Ball, so I still have it. Kinda lame you can't breed the Master Ball down to the offspring. Like why can't we breed all of them in Master Balls if we want to?

 

So yeah, lots of breeding going to be coming soon and I'll be flooding the GTS with the leftover Eevees that I have no use for. Out of all the breeding I've done, I've never released a single Eevee. Weedles and the other junk pokemon on the otherhand.... I do also have a lot of those PokeMiles if they ever do anything neat with the Global Link...

 

EDIT: Just found an Anticipation Eevee with the owner offline. So I guess you only need the owner to be online once to be able to get the Hidden Abilities. Although they seem a lot more rare with the owner offline.

As long as the owner of the Friend Safari has all 3 Pokemon available, they'll have a chance to get the hidden ability.  I wish my dragon type FC would come online so I could get a Multiscale Dragonite...

I still have to wait even longer due to the whole lack of a 5th gen game. No Shiny Eevees for me at this rate, though the ones I have in Diamond had pretty terrible IVs if I recall. I may give the Bank a try still though, it'd be nice to have more storage after most of my boxes get full from breeding.

 

I also wonder if they messed with some gender values as I've noticed Female Eevees are incredibly rare via breeding. I've gotten only 8 females in the last 180 Eggs. So much for 12.5% chance of Female.

 

Anyhow, I noticed they sort of have an event over at the Serebii Forums where on Christmas Day, people are going to Wonder Trade various pokemon for new trainers who get X/Y on that day. I'll probably just be dumping excess Eevees on that day, though I pretty much do it every day anyway. Might be a good idea to consider the GTS on that day too.

That seems like a really cool thing to do. I've got a bunch of 3+ perfect IV Eevees that I won't be doing anything with aside from Wonder Trading. It'll be a good chance to do it. I'll probably be able to throw some stones on them too. :3

Ugh, Pokemon Y just did something really stupid.

 

So basically I traded off a bunch of those Eevees for the Christmas thing today. I got some rare pokemon in return like Totodile, Oshawott, etc. due to the people in Japan getting Pokemon Bank. Now as I lack a Gen 5 game still, I thought I'd try breeding a few Oshawott to trade some for the other pokemon I lack in an attempt to complete the National Dex which apparently gives you the Shiny Charm item.

 

Well, 5 eggs in and I hatch a Shiny Oshawott. This is after about 3000 Eevee eggs hatched total. Pokemon Y must really hate me or I have terrible luck...

 

Guess it's a sign I need to work on getting a Foreign Eevee asap.

Gah. I mean, congrats on a shiny Oshawott, but sorry you haven't been able to get the shiny Eevee you desire. D: Kinda related, but I caught a shiny Nosepass a few days ago while looking for something specific. Definitely caught me off guard. XD

 

I'm doing my wonder trading now as I'm sure there'll be kids wonder trading still. ._. Kinda got side-tracked yesterday. >_>

To be fair, it doesn't look like many new players were on with Wonder Trade. I mostly got stuff from other people giving out stuff for Christmas and the Bank exclusive pokemon.

 

I have someone with a Japanese game who is willing to attempt to breed a 6IV Eevee for me. Worst case scenario is I get a 5IV one. So I can finally attempt to MM Breed one. I will get my revenge on Pokemon Y.

 

Also, apparently Pokemon Bank on the Japan eShop got taken down and will be delayed elsewhere around the world.

Nintendo have announced that they have temporarily removed Pokémon Bank from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This is following the massive influx of users on both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U coming on Christmas, plus the addition of Pokémon Bank causing the Nintendo Network to drive to a halt. This means users cannot download it anymore and currently cannot access the features of the game.. It is currently unclear when Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter will return, or if the western release is delayed. They have made it clear that the 30 day trial for previously registered users will restart when it returns.

Edit @ 13:14: Pokémon Bank is now listed with a release of TBD (To Be Decided) on the North American and European eShops. We'll bring details on this as soon as we can.

 

 

If anyone needs Bank exclusive Pokemon, let me know as well. I'm willing to breed the ones I got via Wonder Trade and GTS. Seems this may be delayed a bit..

 

Update: It seems as though Pokemon Bank was taken down because it was the cause of the server overload and for some reason it was not stopping hacked pokemon from  making it into XY. So basically, hacked pokemon are officially in XY now assuming you lived in Japan and brought them over.

As for Bank Pokemon, I might be up for grabbing an Oshawott egg from you. Dewott's my favorite Pokemon, and I might just train one up for fun. I dunno.

The rage I'm feeling is difficult to express in words.  PokeBank was supposed to come out TOMORROW.  WHY'D THEY WAIT UNTIL 24 HOURS OF ITS RELEASE AFTER ALREADY RELEASING IT IN JAPAN!  Sure, let the Japanese get to have the already hacked Pokemon, and make it so the rest of the world doesn't get it.  We've already had to wait over a month for the Bank to come out (expected it to come out closer to the release of the game.)  This is complete and total bullshit.

 

Edit: I just want to have my max IV Ditto in Y so I don't have to work as hard breeding Eggs.

I suppose it's not too surprising with how sloppy they've been, but still would've been nice to have it up and working.
