Just finished Bakemono no Ko. I really like shows for little kids ![]()
[edit] I did watch Anohana a long time ago. Nice idea but I kind of stopped in the middle, got too bored with the same things happening over and over again.

I was watching Persona 4, but now I'm watching the dub of No Game No Life.

I didn't realize that show had a dub. I need more of that show. ![]()
Meanwhile most of the shows I'm watching (read all but one) are about to end, either this week or within the next couple. Sad. And summer isn't looking very interesting for anime either...

What do you mean with prom night, can't find an anime with that title.
Not entirely sure if you're joking or not, but if not, it's a reference to a line that has gotten a lot of backlash in this horrible Mighty No. 9 trailer.
Anyway, many of my anime are close to ending, either next week, two weeks, or three weeks. Apart from Ace Attorney, which is only halfway done.
One show that just ended was Kuma Miko, though it will have two OVAs released later as part of the home media compilations. Earlier, I gave it a recommendation, but now it's a bit shaky. I enjoyed it overall, but later on one of the major side characters became an overbearing pain in the ass. His whole shtick is being overzealous about "revitalizing" the village, at the expense of Machi's feelings and forcing her into odd and awkward situations, the whole time making him come off as a goddamn creep. Apparently he "didn't realize what he was doing" (terrible copout excuse), and he got some sort of comeuppance and redemption, but I still end up not liking him and as a result the rest of the show ended up not as enjoyable as it could have been, or was in the beginning. It ended decently enough, and I still give it a shaky recommendation, but expect the middle-third portion of it to get on your nerves.

I was joking though I don't no the circumstances in detail, it is the famous celebration of the end of a year spend in a form of education institute in america, isn't it? Though using google to go sure brings me rather to a horror film
. Anyway, didn't know that trailer and it is indeed horrible, the game also looks not really pleasing to the eyes, too much unneeded effects.
Your problem with Kuma Miko reminds me on Durarara, I liked the 1st season a lot, sure it is a bit selfhyped but I loked the story, the flow, the charakters. The 2nd season was a shock for me. The abnormal charakters are suddenly added as etablished and normal to the story and loose a lot of charme this way, not to mention too many new charakters. The mysteries are also explained a bit too much in detail, loosing their mystery-charakter. I think music and animation quality also dropped a bit, but I am not an expert for such things, still watching though.

Since I was unable to access my currently-airing shows while on vacation, I took with me a show I'd heard good things about and wanted to watch: Erased, or Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, which itself is translated "The Town Where Only I am Missing." Why the dramatically different name change? Dunno, and while I like the original name's translation more, it is a bit lengthy.
Anyway, I highly enjoyed it. It's a thriller and murder mystery (your mileage may vary on how well it pulls the latter off) about a guy with a strange ability called "Revival." He can't control it, but it triggers on his own: If something feels wrong about a scene, he'll get transported back a few minutes with the chance to find out what's wrong and prevent a tragedy. Things get really crazy when...
It's a super good show. I recommend it. There's some shaky bits, but it was just a great experience overall.
I'm also catching up on the episodes of shows I'm following from this week. Again, earlier I ran through the list of shows I'm watching with a quick rundown and recommendation, and my recommendation from Kuma Miko changed from a quick recommendation to a shaky one. I'd like to amend my thoughts somewhat: The ending can honestly be downright disappointing, something I didn't think about because I just took it at surface value, so that can disrupt your viewing experience. Honestly the first part of the series was the strongest, and I wish it hadn't lost focus to dumb stuff.
Speaking of losing my focus, onto three other shows that just ended and how my thoughts align now compared to then.
My Hero Academia remains a high recommendation. The show just got better as it went, some things got a little less predictable, and it was just a ton of fun. Also, there's a climactic fight near the end that's just... awesome. All Might has elevated to one of my favorite anime characters, and I'm psyched that we're getting a season two. From what I can tell, the manga's pretty deep, so if this series ends up running a while, I'll be happy with that.
Space Patrol Luluco, batshit insane through the end. Stance is exactly the same. There's really not much more to be said. ![]()
Kiznaiver did end up developing an overarching plot, but it's shockingly grounded compared to other Trigger works. My feelings on the characters remain about the same, though at the end of the day only a handful stand out as interesting or at least fun. I honestly have no strong feelings at all about this anime, which is ironic considering its plotline, I suppose I could call it a decent time killer, if you're looking for something like that, otherwise, it... was an anime.
