I've been trying to avoid as many spoilers as possible, so this should be a spoiler free post.

Anyways, remember that argument about left-handed people a while back? Well good news, they've confirmed a left-handed mode. Rejoice, all you southpaws, you have one less thing to complain about. Sadly, I can't find a source without any other minor spoilers on it, so you'll have to take my word on this. Or look it up yourself.

Also, in the non-spoiler scene, and more interesting to most of us, heart containers are back to being made of four pieces, instead of Twilight Princess's five.

Plus, even with the addition of sprinting, you can still roll. Which instantly makes this game the best ever.

Remember the roundtable Miyamoto held a few years back, behind closed doors? When they showed the first concept art from the game? At this time, Miyamoto actually said that the game would support both right and left-handed people. Sure, it wasn't officially confirmed, but it was confirmed.

I found it hilarious when everyone was b****ing about it later, apparently unable to read up on the facts, or perhaps simply not interested. Anyway, my point is; this has been known since before we knew the name of the game itself XD

Well, my local GameStop was indeed going to carry the entire bundle, thankfully, so I went ahead and reserved it. Just about a month to go... Hopefully I'll be able to keep all this excitement in until then. Sonic Generations should help with that. icon_heh.gif

It's been confirmed that Skyward Sword, in fact, will have no left-handed mode. icon_frown.gif

Damn, that's a real shame for left-handed people. icon_neutral.gif

I'm right handed though but still feel awful. But still just out of curiosity, would a left handed mode chew alot of the game space up or will it chew up just a little bit?

Edit: I only read the first paragraph, so yeah, I may be missing a big important thing as always. icon_razz.gif

>IGN says there's going to be a left handed mode
Can't spell ignorant without IGN!

I don't see how it would be that difficult to have left-handed mode though...Flip the screen horizontally, problem solved.

Then they'd have to change ever mention of direction in the game, east to west, left to right, etc. And redo all the maps. And a whole bunch of other stuff.

Really, I don't see why it's such a big deal. To experiment, I swung with Wii Remote around in my right hand, then swapped to my left hand. I'm right handed, but I didn't have any trouble playing around with it in my left hand. It felt exactly the same. If I can do it, can't a leftie too? icon_shrug.gif

To be fair, Miyamoto did heavily hint at it, so it's not like they lied icon_shrug.gif

Also I don't think reversing/flipping animations can be easily done. You'd have to reconfigure a lot of Links animations.

http://www.zeldadung...game-ever-made/ (article is spoiler-free; dunno if any comments or links are)

The first known review of SS is made, by Official Nintendo Magazine, and the score is 98/100. Sounds good, right? But wait... they also gave OoT 3D that score. Something I would have scored in the 80s range. Well, it gave TP as well as Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 scores of 97, so maybe they're right here. Still, sounds like SS will be pretty good. We got a month left (in North America) for it. Can't wait; all should be awesome.

...why would something called "The Nintendo Magazine" give a Nintendo game a bad score? icon_shrug.gif

... How can anyone say? If the only review we've got is from a company with the word Nintendo in it, aka the creators of the game. Doesn't mean they're wrong, just means they're biased. Right now, I'd say a rating is nonexistent. It doesn't mean the game sucks, it just means we don't know how it is right now. At least, that's how I see it.

Also, considering they started on this project since, what, '06- if it isn't better than Ocarina of Time, I would lose all faith in Nintendo at this point. Because honestly, it already looks way better than OoT anyway. I know I'm biased because I have a certain negative outlook on OoT, but look at everything we've seen, and that's supposedly just a smidgeon of what the game has to offer. Over time, better games come out. It's simple as that.
