Jeez Satellite, you're too far ahead of me >.<. I'm still at Clair . right now, I'm waiting on my Gligar Egg to hatch, then train it. I was training on Route 47 until then. The EXP there's not TOO bad, but it could be better.... WAIT FOR US SATELLITE.GRIND OR SUMTHIN!

Does it really serve any purpose after the Elite Four though? And technically, you could have traded for one before the Elite Four.

My friend, there is an entire world waiting after the Elite Four full of trainers and things to do. I've raised both a Muk and Magneton here to replace two pokemon who did nothing to aid the Elite Four battle.

Missing two badges; waiting til I can get a hold of someone elses DS to turn my Magneton into a Magnezone to combat Misty. Could I beat her now with my Kangskhan? Probably. But I want to give Magnezone a test run.

I am having a hard time waiting to see the Viridian Gym though. Did they keep the lego blocks everywhere? Were they actually Lego blocks? It is a mystery that I am so close to discovering.

EDIT: Rock climb can be found in Mt.Mortor on a completely optional side quest.

Wow, compared to everyone else, I'm WAY far behind. I mean, I just got my 7th gym badge. Damn you, college! Sucking up my life. But hey, it's spring break, so I've already been playing Pokemon since I woke up this mor-- er, afternoon Here's mah team:

Quilava (Mad Hatter) level 34
Pidgeotto (Tweedledee) level 33
Red Gyarados (RockLobstr) level 34
Ampharos (Alice) level 35
Nidoran (Calypso) level 12 (HM whore)

Yeah... I'm picky about my team. I need one more, and I could use at least three just to switch out. Maybe I'll run into something that will be worth training Right now I'm messing around in the Whirl Islands. Weee.

And my sis hasn't even made it to the third gym yet.

But anyways...

I did it! All 16 badges are mine! Now I get to pick a Kanto starter and get the GB Player! :O

... the thing is... Since I have all three starter-types filled in (with Typhlosion, Gyarados, and Victreebel), I don't know what I should pick. My instincts tell me to just go with Charmander, since, I'll say it again, Charizard is the most badass Pokémon of them all.

But... maybe you guys have some suggestions before I pick one up?

* Politoed (Lv. 45)

Is my Party Underleveled? Once I got into Kanto, I first tried to get the Magnet Train fixed. I noticed that the trainers in Kanto have Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokemon and they are stronger than ever than in the GB version.

Yeah, definitely. All the gyms are tougher than they were before. And as for your team... you might want to spend a little time on it before tackling the gyms. I don't think any of the Kanto gym leaders' Pokémon went over level 60, but they were pretty high up.

And for the record, your party's levels are lower than mine were when I beat the Elite Four, so I'd say you're doing pretty good.

EDIT: Oh damn... Just found out you can't pick up a Kanto starter until you beat Red. Somebody oughta fix Bulbapedia.

So, at least that gives me plenty of time to make up my mind.

Well, that's it. Just caught Mewtwo. Now all I gotta do is figure out how to level all my Pokémon so I can challenge Red. Maybe I'll give catching Moltres a shot, for now.

Just beat Lance on my first try. Took: 35:10
I used a Level 39 Red Gyrados with Blizzard and Ice Fang for most of them, and finished with a level 41 Ampharos using Thunder on Charizard. I had Ho-oh with me, but he was just there to switch to while I revived people.
EDIT: Ampharos leveld up during the battle, so technically he was over 40. Ho-oh is, but he never attacked anything.

I beat Blue, claiming my sixteenth and final gym badge. The team that did it:
Buzzsaw, the Level 50 Meganium!
Batman, the Level 51 Crobat!
Boomtown, the Level 51 Houndoom!
BklnRAGE!, the Level 49 Heracross!
Boat, the Level 50 Lapras!
and Bwiffins, the Level 50 Mamoswine!

I guess the task to complete now is trading my team from Diamond over and tackling Red; I could grind these guys up in an obscene amount of time but honestly I'd rather do it with the team I know has what it takes. In addition I need to head to Mt. Mortar and meet the Karate King; I'm pretty sure that's how you schedule rematches with the gym leaders, which is definitely a worthwhile venture for training.

EDIT: Turns out that facing Kiyo is not the way to rematch the gym leaders; you simply have to get their phone numbers when they're not in their gym... so now to search them out!

EDIT 2: At certain times only... so now to adjust the DS system time!

Haha, that's what I do, too. Maybe that's why I'm behind... But yeah, every time I'm on a new route, I make sure to catch one of each new Pokemon that's on it. And I also name them retarded things because I'll never use them.

My instincts tell me to just go with Charmander, since, I'll say it again, Charizard is the most badass Pokémon of them all.

Um, yeah. Charmander. That's basically the only choice that you are allowed to make
