Shane: I told you already, but this looks amazing! The newly colored mountains fit with the area perfectly. I love the palette too. :)

Twilight_Knight: Wow, very nice! I'm glad to be seeing more of your quest again. I feel like the house in the middle is a little awkward, with the way it's placed. However, your tile usage and selection is wonderful!

This looks really good and the floor variation is very fitting here and makes the dungeon look good without much decorations. But please change the water borders where in the corner there is a little bit of yellow which should be blue. Stuff like that drives me crazy.  :tard:

No can do, this is GB authenticity B)

(I might change that up a bit, I dunno. I'll see what I can do)

Oooh, this looks like the perfect field type screen. Nice tall grass placement and the slopes are a finishing touch! If you're looking for something to improve: maybe a bit more color? A different color tree perhaps?

Based on your critique, I improved the screen I posted last time. I did get what you meant by the house being so "awkward in the middle", or at least I think I did, and I agree with it. It was a bit too "screen consuming" before. So, it became a bit smaller and I also made some of the flowers a little less messy.

Yes I'm aware of the fact that this is GB style, but I think it's one of the reasons I usually don't like the GB tileset. It's supposed to be so "simple" that the borders are universal and have no variations for different ground types. Normally this is very acceptable with GB, but I think your screenshot is much more detailed than the regular GB style. So changing the borders would be very fitting in my opinion.

I understand what you're saying, I was just kidding :P

Ah I see. Well I was joking a bit in the first case too. This reminds me of texting, so easy to misinterpret what someone wrote.

Much better, T_K! It feels a lot more breathable! Very nice.

Also, I like the "real" feel my screen has, with the realer colors. however, different colored trees could possibly work.

I certainly get you there on the "real" feel of your screen, it is really a realistic projection of nature. Actually with that thought in mind, you shouldn't change a thing about it.

There was once a time I tried to pursue the same type of feel for my screens, but at a certain point it gets real hard to keep screens interesting.

Well, to be fair not every single screen needs to be interesting. I feel the way they flow is more important. :)

I really like how you came up with Pokemon-style short cliffs in your shot, Jared. It helps show a difference in elevation in the ground without making a bunch of different level mountain ledges. I'll have to see if I can franken-sprite something similar out of a GBC-style tileset, I've been having a bit of trouble doing decent elevation changes.

It's actually really easy to do with GB, I did it with Firebird!

If anyone can figure out what game this is inspired from, I'll love you forever!

Looks great Jared! Very scenic and gorgeous. I know what game inspired this shot, but I won't tell.

Looks like Zelda to me.

It's not. :P
