Two things:
#1-What tileset is that?
#2-That's an amazing map! My only criticism, which is weak, is that some places are rather cramped.

For #1, I believe Sheik is creating his own ALTTP tileset. So far, it's looking awesome ![]()
This is really cool looking. It looks a lot like an abandoned mine which is really cool, and I love those rock pillars. Great stuff.

Here's the first two screenshots of my tileset/quest in progress, Eternal Elegy.

This is going to be a long process, with most of the graphics based on Final Fantasy 6 (which you can tell if you examine the player sprites) and I have no idea when it will be done. By the way, those player sprites aren't final. (Not looking for trouble from those people, thank you very much.) They're just a basis which I'm working from to create my own.
I have an open request for contributions to this effort, if anybody wants to make this better.

Yes! I congratulate you on your demonstration into dishing out a new tileset using FF6 graphics
I must say though, the graphics aren't up to par though. An example is the bed you are using. The cloth is colored and textured very loud as if it is concrete or sand. The clock on the interior wall shows that better contrast is needed in your tiles.
I would recommend that you use 8-Bit if you aren't already. Sure, you may lose simplicity and convenience of palette swapping, but the tiles will reach full potential.
I wish I could contribute but I have too much on my schedule.

I've quite literally been working on this for a grand total of two to three days. I'm aware of the issues with what I have so far, which is basically unedited ripped tiles arranged into combos and set up to create screens. This is to show what direction that I'm going, not the finished product. Don't expect that for at least a year, if not two or three... or more.

If I had the capability of doing this, I would. I may yet develop that kind of patience and skill, but this is again just the start of this.
I wish I could contribute but I have too much on my schedule.
That may be the case now, but the future is yet unwritten. I'll be posting screenshots here and in the thread I created to request help with specific things I'm having trouble with as the quest/tileset develops. So stay tuned for further news, same time, same channel...

It's the Pure Remembrance Tileset. Some of the tiles are custom or edited. Also, thanks for the feedback.

Okay, feedback is coming in from the expo, and one thing that I clearly need to improve, are my screens. Primarily my non-dungeon ones, so it's time for me to get right to work. First, I'll take a small crack at it here:

Thoughts?

Two suggestions:
- Add some 2x2 trees around the borders of the screen, like how the Gameboy Zelda titles did. It gives the screen a little more structure which is needed, aesthetically speaking.
- Add in more tall grass, grass blades and maybe village stuff like barrels, postboxes, etc.

The only problem with 2x2 trees as border that they don't work too well on the Y scale, due to each screen being 11 tiles high. Still, I did work around it to produce this:![]()
Also, if you go up the post box, you now get a message criticizing Link for trying to steal someone's mail.

That's what ZC is all about.
Screen looks much better, too.
