Lucina definitely has Roy syndrome. I think she'll be more speed oriented as opposed to Marth and Ike.

I'm still hopeful for some characters that I'm almost certain won't make it:
Ravio
Prof. E. Gadd
Ampharos
Tails
Count Bleck
De Blob
Zant
Simon Belmont
Eggman
Birdo
Maxwell
Prof. Layton
Tanooki Mario

Clone or not, some gameplay differences will determine whether people like Marth of Lucina better. It's a lot like Link versus Toon Link, one is stronger and more annoyed by gravity, while the other is less powerful, but their gravity allows for more versatile use, giving them different playstyles, even if they're clones. And that, people, is why I like clone characters...unless it's Ganondorf, I don't know how they drew the conclusion to make him a falcon clone, it just seems like a silly design choice.
EDIT:

This is Lucina's way of saying the Year of Luigi is over.

I guess Robin is unable to use other items since his/her sword and tome count as an item?

Great, more sword-users. <_< I mean, I'm happy that Robin (I guess that's the default name for the tactician?) has spells as well, but seriously guys. WE GET IT FIRE EMBLEM HAS SWORDS, now how about those other kinds of weapons they use too
At any rate, we can finally stop listening to people worrying that Captain Falcon won't be in, as a plus note. ![]()

So, we've got four Fire Emblem characters total then? Alright... aside from Robin, I can't help but feel that they all seem... maybe a bit too similar. Kinda like Fox, Falco, and Wolf were in Brawl. I'm fine with having clone characters, but three variations on the same theme might get a bit stale, unless they really do play out quite differently.
But hey, Captain Falcon finally got announced. Now we're just waiting on Ness and Jigglypuff and the original gang of 12 will be all present and accounted for.

Ike is very different from Marth though. Sure, his Normal B and Down B are pretty much the same, everything else about Ike is different. o.o

I don't know if anyone has figured this out yet, but Chrom isn't a new character. If you look at the official Super Smash Bros. website, they only added three new characters: Robin, Lucina, and Captain Falcon. ![]()

Chrom instead is a final smash. Do you know what would be so cool? If they took a random character from Fire Emblem Awakening (Lissa, Lon'qu, Gaius, Sumia, Nowi, Marribelle, etc.) in addition to Chrom to do the final smash with Robin.

> Chrom is essentially used as a weapon for Robin's final smash.

Um, Neutral Bs for both of them are very different. Both of them having Counter really isn't a big deal either.
Anyhow, even though I've never played any Fire Emblem games, I don't mind seeing these characters added. Lucina looks more interesting to play as out of the two honestly even though we didn't see much of her moves.
On the other hand, I do wonder how they'll make her different from Marth still. I suppose it wouldn't be hard to just give her new sword moves.
Capt. Falcon returning I was already expecting, so no real surprise there.

Since I'm completely at the mercy of any news regarding Lucas and Ness, I should point out that the leak that was widely assumed to be true claiming Lucas was cut also predicted Chrom as a newcomer. If Chrom's out, maybe Lucas still has a chance! ![]()
Robin looks pretty neat. I haven't played Awakening, but I love that he/she has spells seen in the rest of the series. And Lucina was a surprise.

Good. Speed is what Marth seemed to lack in what I saw of this so far. I mean, not being able to attack forward-air 2x in one short jump made me sad.
