Honestly, I really like Quilladin. He gets a lot of hate, but I think he's adorable. And his third stage... okay, it's unrealistic for me to expect his third stage to still be adorable (doesn't apply to any of the starters), but it's at least pretty awesome and follows logically from the first two. Sorta...

So it seems people can be incredibly greedy with even adding you so you can get an Eevee out of their Friend Safari. As I'm having no luck with getting anyone with one to add me, does anyone here have one, or access to one?

Basically, I need to get some Female Eevees with Anticipation as their ability. Each caught in a different ball minus the Pokeball (Master Ball not needed obviously). They need to be Female so I can breed to get that pokeball for the offspring. Female Eevees come up quite often if you use a Male pokemon with Cute Charm as your lead when you encounter them. Sylveon is one that comes to mind assuming you have one. Also, in order for the Eevees caught to have Anticipation, the person who has that safari needs to be online I hear. Stats, nature, etc. don't matter. Just as long as it's Female, caught in a ball other than Pokeball and has Anticipation as it's ability.

I can offer some Modest Male Eevees with 5 perfect IVs, all but Attack being perfect stats. Some Eevees have Anticipation and Egg Moves if those interest anyone. Can possibly spare a Female one or two, but I have far more Males to trade.

Or if you'd rather have me attempt to breed something with good IVs, I'm willing to do that too. Just could take a bit of time.

Damn, sorry to hear. ): I'll keep an eye out for you though.

If you don't mind me asking though, any reason you need female Eevees with each type of Pokeball? I know to pass the ball down to the child, but does it have some effect on the Pokemon? Or just for the heck of it?

Mostly just for the heck of it. There are a bunch of people who won't accept a pokemon unless it comes in a specific Pokeball oddly enough. Plus it is kinda neat to have matching Pokeballs for each Eeveelution. It's kinda funny how a pokemon just being in a specific pokeball has a lot of value. Bred in Master Ball is probably very valuable too, but then again, who really wants to waste a Master Ball on a common pokemon?

I may try again later on, but most of the Friend Safari thread on Serebii is basically a bunch of people begging for someone with an Eevee/Ditto safari to add them. And those with those Safaris only want Ditto/Eevee people to add them. If I had an Eevee/Ditto safari I'd be willing to add people to help out. *sigh*

Jesus, how picky are people nowadays?  For me, I try to have each Pokemon in my party have different Pokeballs.  I imagine that, if I was really my character, it'd be easier to remember which Pokemon were in which ball, if they weren't all the same.

Very picky. I wouldn't be surprised if they request where the egg was hatched soon.

Honestly I never cared about the balls personally. Now with not much else to do I figured I might as well try if people weren't being bad. It is kinda cool how each Eeveelution kinda has a matching ball too.

One of the people I was going to try to trade with wanted a 5IV Female Anticipation Eevee in anything other than a Pokeball. Seeing as I got Anticipation originally off the GTS on a male Japanese Eevee, I had to pass it along awhile and all my Eevees are born in Pokeballs due to that. That was probably about a thousand Eevees ago too. I can't pass Anticipation in any other way to get the offspring born in different balls either as only Females can pass it unless you use a Male of the species and a Ditto which always results in them being born in a Pokeball.

After all that breeding, I only have one Female Eevee with 6IVs as well. They're like as rare as a shiny at this rate... Definitely not trading her for anything. Though I would like another so she doesn't grow to Level 100 in the Daycare.

I have some spare Modest natured Mareeps if anyone wants one. They all have perfect stats except for Attack. No hidden ability or Egg moves, but not really needed for an Ampharos that I can tell.

I would like one, provided I the person I prodded over on Serebii trades me a Magician Fenniken soon or wait for a bit so I can transfer a shiny Throh over from White.

Possible trades:

  • Magic Bounce Natu (Available now)

  • Magician Fenniken (Probably available soon)

  • Shiny Throh (Available after Pokebank is released)

So question, how do the hidden abilities work, and can you breed them? I got a Magician Fennekin off the GTS and evolved it into Delphox for the dex entry. Can I breed more Magician Fennekins from it?

Yes. If the parent has a hidden ability, they may pass it off to their offspring regardless of gender. This is different in Gen V, where only the female can pass down the hidden ability.

Edit: Hidden abilities function like normal abilities, except for the fact you can not use an Ability Capsule to obtain them and they are much rarer than normal abilities (you can only obtain them under special circumstances, like capturing pokemon with in the Friend Safari when the trainer corresponding to that safari is online)

Partially correct. Male pokemon with Hidden Abilities can't pass them actually unless you breed them with a Ditto which gives it a chance of passing it. Breeding anything with a Ditto results in the offspring to be born in Pokeballs too. If you'd like the offspring to be born in a specific ball, you'll need a female with the hidden ability caught in that ball. Hidden abilities from what I understand were given away in events, gotten in the Dream World in Gen 5 via the Pokemon Global Link and now gotten in the Friend Safari.

Anyhow, my FC is 1633-4544-3539. I don't really need anything for the Mareep. It was an extra I got while breeding in an attempt to get a foreign Eevee in a trade. Let me know your FC and I can send it over sometime when we're both on.

What in the world is a Magician Fenniken? (I don't keep up on this stuff so excuse my ignorance)

Magician Fenniken is a Fenniken with it's hidden ability, Magician.

As for the ability itself, Magician gives all attacking moves the ability to steal items ala Thief.
