Ummm, how come you think you know everything about this unreleased game? They could have added stuff. I'm sure they did.
And I really don't care if you don't buy it. But bashing it is what I do care about. I'd like it even if there wasn't any real changes to the game just because I like Ocarina of Time. Now tell me, do you work for Nintendo? Do you know all about there projects and how things are before they even are released? I seriously doubt that.

Oh yeah, I don't know if this is even true so don't bother disagreeing with it, I heard from somewhere that a guy won a contest and won a 3DS with a Japanese copy of OoT 3D. Nintendo said not to show anything after Jabu Jabu's belly to the public.
Like I said, it could just be some stupid kid making something up, but if not, that's pretty interesting. Why wouldn't Nintendo want him to show anything after the young Link part? Hmmm...

Just a simple debate. No arguring here Mr. mod peoples icon_heh.gif

I'm not bashing it. I'm just saying it's the same game they gave us 13 years ago with a face lift. Now if I'm wrong, and they do add more levels, new story, whatever, I'll gladly shell out my 40 bucks and play it. But as it stands now, all signs point to it being a clone of the original with flashy graphics. And honestly, I couldn't care less about those. If they want me to buy the game a second time, Nintendo needs to make it a new game, not a prettier version of a game I've already paid for.

I don't see any reasons why the mods would get involved here. It's a level-headed debate about a game. I haven't called you a f***ing b**** moron. Yet. icon_deformed.gif

Well, I hope you don't call me that. I'd icon_cry.gif

Anyway, If they do change it, I'm sure they'd want to keep it a secret until you buy it.
The first time they announced the originally Ocarina of time, they didn't give out all the story or secrets. You have to play it to find out.
I'm sure there will be some extra content that will make the old classic more enjoyable. I mean, why would Nintendo, the greatest video game company in the world (In the eyes if this devilishly hansom man) just port a game and make the graphics better with out enhancing the gameplay in some way. I mean, it was a small change, but in Link's Awakening DX, there was a new dungeon and the graphics where much better. I'm sure they will do the same with OoT But, I'll just wait and see if they changed it at all before I play it

I'm not taking sides here, but isn't that what remakes usually are? Improved graphics with minor additions and changes? It's not really a remake, otherwise. I can't blame you for not wanting to purchase the game--I see your points--but if they remade Hyrule Field, which is a large portion of the map, it wouldn't really be the same game. Though I admit a new dungeon would be/have been nice.

Yeah, sorry bro, but that's obviously a lie. icon_razz.gif I mean, why would Nintendo hold a contest in which the price is a game they have yet to actually finish? The only answer to that is; they wouldn't. I am serious, that is about as likely as someone saying "So dude, overnight I sprouted wings and now I can fly!". Yes, I am being serious, there is literally no way that's true. I don't know where you heard that, but whoever told you, tell em that they either need to check their sources one more time, or stop making up lies, whichever it is.

Anyways, Russ, it's okay if you don't feel the graphics update, however big, is enough for you to shell out another 50 or whatever it'll be for the game. I get it. Heck, I almost agree. In fact, was it not for the fact that I'm most likely getting it for free, I probably woulnd't bother getting it myself icon_shrug.gif

I mean, I'm glad they're finally doing this, but... I mean... yeah icon_razz.gif

Well, I said I don't know if it's true. I had a feeling some stupid kid had something to do with this. WAIT, how would you know? icon_freak.gif
I'm tired so, I really don't care. icon_razz.gif Move along

Also, no offence, But those silly little proverbs that you make up all the time are really getting old icon_sweat.gif

No, a remake is when they, wait for it, REMAKE the game. For example, look at Pokemon Gold/Silver, than HeartGold/SoulSilver. The remakes aren't just the originals with better graphics. They're entirely different, literally overflowing with new content. THAT is how you remake a game. Slapping slightly better graphics on and calling it a remake is not.

Russ, i think you're forgetting the whole point of them remaking it.
It's going to be PORTABLE!! icon_biggrin.gif
Plus, they're adding Master Quest (Even more different this time!) and Boss Challenge/Battle mode.
Sounds pretty awesome to me!

I already own Master Quest, and I can just use an emulator for rematching bosses. Neat, but still not worth getting it.

Like I said, if I turn out to be wrong, I'll gladly admit admit my mistake and buy the game. But so far they've shown no changes, NoA has said not to expect any changes, and Hyrule Field, the place most desperately in need of changes, has been shown to be unchanged.

Well, hey. HG/SS are in a league of their own. icon_razz.gif Comparing it to those isn't really fair...Haha! I'm thinking more along the lines of those Final Fantasy remakes, Links Awakening: DX and the like. I think, if compared to those, it's a pretty acceptable game. ...Not that I liked the FF remakes, but still.

Mmm, self-contradictions. Yum.

First: Why does everybody hate Hyrule field? seriously, theres nothing wrong with it,
Second: If it wasn't a remake (witch you are saying it isn't) it would be EXACTLY THE SAME wouldn't it?
Third: You guys really need to stop this fight, its getting out of hand

People dislike Hyrule Field because it was so empty. Though, I'm not sure what they could do to fix that. Adding random trees and junk would just be annoying. I see why people hate it, but I, personally, don't really care too much. Whatever they do to it in the 3DS version is fine by me.

Okay, then take Metroid: Zero Mission. It took the original, and added new levels, items, story, graphics, ending, etc. Not on the same scale as HG/SS, but still a prime example of how to make a remake.

First: Because it's EMPTY. Seriously, it's a giant empty field. There's nothing to it. It's incredibly boring, especially when compared to places like TP's Hyrule Field.

Second: It's not a fight, it's a debate. Fans debate games. Get used to it.

Oh yeah and completely changing a game for a remake, would suck. Just look at it this way. the movie Halloween was a great movie. But it's remake in 2009 sucked terribly because they changed it so much. OoT is a great game on it's own. It doesn't need to much change the way it is. I mean, I do want some extra content, but to much change would make it into a terrible copy instead of a remake.
