'Tis a hat, m'dear. 'Tis a hat. Pretty strange, huh? If you look closely, you can see his real hair color is black. That's why there's so much black around the hat.

I prefer to think of it as his hair. It makes him seem a lot cooler. icon_razz.gif

And am I the only one who liked Emerald's graphics? I thought they were pretty nice looking, to be honest.

Speaking personally, I thought R/S/E were the weakest in the series. At least D/P/Pt. had a 3D overworld. What does R/S/E have, that gives the game a different feel? Nothing, that I can tell.

Ranking of Pokemon Games:

HeartGold/SoulSilver
FireRed/Leaf Green
Gold/Silver/Crystal
Red/Blue/....Yellow (SHUDDER)
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum
Ruby/Saphire/Emerald

Well, out of the games I've played (excluding HG/SS, since I'm not far enough through to judge), I'd say:

Emerald -> Platinum -> FireRed/LeafGreen -> Pearl/Diamon -> Yellow.

HG/SS will probably end up near the top, or at the top.

I always thought the character on Emerald has white hair....anyway.

UPDATE TIME
I caught all 26 kinds of Unown (released 25 of them afterwards, don't need a surplus), so now all that's left is the room that needs Ho-Oh, and the room that needs a Water Stone (where the hell do I get that?). I saved before I fought Clair, but when I did, I lost, then reloaded. Apparently, I need some super effective move against her...and also more level grinding. As for my team's standings:

Scary (Haunter)[Male] -> Lv. 36
Nate Jr. (Xatu)[Male] -> Lv. 41
Mac Jr. (Machop)[Male] -> Lv. 35
Cat (Butterfree)[Male] -> Lv. 36
Tody (Totodile)[Male] -> Lv. 38
Dratini (Won from that damn Voltorb Flip...took forever)[Female] -> Lv. 15

Anyone know a good place to train besides the Ice Path? That place would takes a while to get levels, as the Swinubs don't give alot of XP.

This game overly spams the move "Confuse Ray". This is now IMO the most annoying move in Pokemon games. In Platnium "Earthquake" was overly spammed.

Supersonic for me. That and poison powder. And trust me, having a computer spam poison powder when you're in the middle of a route miles away from a Pokemon Center is a very bad thing. icon_wink.gif

Got five Kanto badges so far, and I finally have my Pichu! :O

They definitely upped the Kanto Gyms' difficulty level. Originally, as soon as I got to Kanto, I could just breeze right through the gyms. Now, it takes a little preparation. On the bright side, my party (except for Pichu) are all at at least level 50. icon_razz.gif

It is pretty cool to see Kanto redone in this style. I also like the fact that they brought back the Cerulean theme from R/B/Y. I hated the theme they used in most of the cities from the original G/S/C. icon_sweat.gif

Luckily, it sounds better in this version. Maybe it just sounds less obnoxious, I dunno. I used to hate the Pokémon Center theme in R/B/Y, but it sounded better in the games after it. In retrospect, it was because it was so obnoxious in the original, then G/S/C thankfully softened it. icon_blah.gif

Now, just gotta tackle Janine, Blaine, and Blue, then I'll have all the badges. w00t

Lugia is really getting on my nerves. If I don't have it by Tuesday, I'm catching it normally. icon_confused.gif

Still going for a shiny? You have way more patience than I do.

What's the point of getting a team member after beating the Elite Four?

Because you can't get one before the Elite Four, sheesh.

Does it really serve any purpose after the Elite Four though? And technically, you could have traded for one before the Elite Four.

Eh. I've almost quit several times, but I figured I'd give it at least a week. icon_confused.gif I hate quitting something without giving it a full chance. It's not patience. More like a principal. lol

Everyone has their different ways of playing. Personally, I see beating the Elite 4 (Especially in this game) as simply another milestone--similar to a gym badge, just bigger and more important. icon_deformed.gif Usually, one or two of my main team Pokemon come after the Elite 4 when I can freely do whatever I want, including the extra stuff that I couldn't do before. My point is that TS might have a similar style of playing.

EDIT2: Maaaad amounts of typos. lol

Don't have the other versions. And my sis hasn't even made it to the third gym yet. icon_razz.gif

Though I suppose now I gotta trade her one...

EDIT: "That's right, I'm a boy! What's wrong with a boy dressing up as Janine?"
